Generally I work 40-50 hours a week like everyone else, but every once in a while there are projects that just won't stop spewing problems, and if it's one of yours, bad luck. |

To be fair, she has to go back to upstate NY :nervous:. It's nowhere near as fun as NYC and a billion times more depressing.
Other than that, I can't really sympathize. Hell, I think it's a great thing this happened to you. You'll have to fight for what you want now, and if you do get back to Toronto without the help of your parents, it'll feel much more satisfying.

Sorry to hear this Barb :(
A lot of you are forgetting this girl JUST turned 20 so relax with the insults... I'm 21 and still totally dependent on my parents.
Barb I think you just have to prove to your parents that you aren't taking their money for granted - something that will only become evident living alongside them.
My dad is paying for my entire university education but he keeps serious tabs on me and kicks my ass if he so much as senses a hint of slacking.
I think it's a nice system: he pays for our school - we work our asses off and make the most of our education to show him that we are not taking his money for granted.
My FOBcore immigrant family is the furthest thing from wealthy and my sister and I have both worked since we were 14 - but that was ONLY for our personal expenses.
I don't understand parents charging their kids for living at home... I also don't understand parents giving their kids money to live a frivolous life miles and miles away.
Anyway Barbo --- go back home, finish school, learn some mad skillz to pay the billz :toocool:, then come back to where you are happy once you are financially independent and able to do so. |

The issue isn't whether or not you should be dependent on your parents if they don't mind; the issue is how much would you bitch and complain if that funding was cut off. |
