Moral of the story is you need to find a way to be financial independent. All parents to some degree are controlling especially moms. How old are you? When I went to school my parents co-signed the loans with the understanding I'd have to pay them off after graduation. They helped with things like books etc. but the rest of it I had to earn by working.

Put your ass to work and you should be able to support yourself and stay in Toronto. As a side note Canada is gay. :gsmile: :p

I'm 20 and on a student visa so working is a bit illegal, so Im planning on going home and working my ass off and coming back on my own... its just depressing :( and a big shock

psh. and I havent lived with my parents since I was 16.. so this is going to be hell
