These issues can be remedied quite easily. I have all my hardware setup to basically act like an instance of a VSTi. All the latency is accounted for in cubase, no recording required. The final mix is done straight from the instruments so changing the sound isn't a problem.

LOL ive been reading this thread for 10 mins now and its amusing.
Heres my opinion:

The time youve wasted debating this could have been time spent doing somting more productive.

Anyway heres what i think: Software and hardware sound as good as each other, it depends on what sound you want. I use both hard and software, I have sounds on my virus that i 100 of the cheapest VSTs would be able to give me, and theres sounds on my omnisphere that no hardware ive used can give me.

Hardware will never die, just like the classic car will never die. yes software is getting more advanced, but u dont need the latest technology to get the sound you want if u can get it from a JP8080 or Virus Ti or even a cheap keyboard preset. But then again hardware is getting more advanced. Some of the best songs ive ever heard use both hard and software. No one has the right to determine or tell someone what is better.

Also Software isnt exactly cheap. For the price of Spectrasonics, Waves, ect software you can buy a decent hardware synth.
People who use exclusively software are limiting themselve to there creative possibilites, and same to exclusive hardware users.
Both can be automated if u take the time to learn your DAW.

If hardware is dieing why are there new hardware synths still in production? and why to pro recording studios still have hardware thats value way exceeds the value of your house and maybe 3 houses?

No one is right or wrong when it comes to there opinion. If you believe hardware will die out in 10years then fair enuf, But ill bet you my house and all my posessions it wont. so if you really believe your right then come one take the bet!

Woot, never heard or seen anything about this ever.
Looks a bit like Soundiver at first glance.

Check this out: http://www.acidvoice.com/index.htm

Can't find anything like this for software 303 synths though :(

The 777 has a spiffy low end, but the rest..not so much :(

Software!!: http://www.acidvoice.com/tb_303_vst_plugin_software.htm

Damn yoooueee!!! Damn you alll ta hellllll!

To note on the audio examples, the 303 is exceedingly simple in capability so it's no surprise that AudioRealism has it down to a "T".

Well, most of the hardware we are talking about here is pretty simple. I mean sure we could talk about complex stuff, but that just makes everyones job harder..

Also, man, Muon doesn't cut it...i think i will try the audiorealism instead...been using muon tau

If hardware is better than software, then how come my TS404 sounds better than that ole busted TB303?

Here is a sample i made, of a 303 and a 404, both using the same default settings.

First is 303, second half is 404. Press the play button above the download button.

That was hilarious:stongue: :stongue: :stongue: :D Gave me a few giggles:D

You are dumb, ignorant, and have no taste if you believe this. I hear new awesome trance everyday that gives me goose bumps all over. Happens to me all the time, trance IS why I live. And also, there are many, many, many people on this forum that make great music. Stop being a douche bag and just leave.

You brought the thread back for more people to see what a jackass you are lol lol lol

Trance did die in 2000. Not to say music labeled trance after 2000 isn't good...but it certainly isn't trance, its pop music at most.

Proggressive killed it.

Same happened to Goa/Psy...psy these days is pretty much garbage.
