HEY, i have an idea, LETS do an A/B Test with a TRUE Analogue synthesizer Vs Puny Software Synth. We'll see which has more dynamics, slam, punch, bass, even order harmonics (warmth), and life.

i call out ALANZO's Dave Smith Instrument's Prophet 08 vs any software synth in the market.

We'll do a regular saw type sound with high release.

who's with me

all you software synth newbs are finally gonna get owned and put to sleep

It's been done ad nauseum (check out KVR). It's all subjective and it doesn't prove anything. Also, if you've ever owned one, you'd know that the P08 is hardly representative of all analogue synths. Let the soft synth users love their soft synths and let us hardware users love our hardware (and software) synths. In the end, the only two things that matter are:

1) what the person creating the music prefers, and

2) the end result - and the people dancing to your songs don't know or care if you used Synth1 or an Andromeda.

Yeah i know that, but this is the chance to end everything. I mean don't tell me that i have to contact someone on the dave instruments team and have them show me how a true analogue synthesizer rips a software synth to pieces. Also, we can do a softsynth vs andromeda test :D
Subtle
Blablah...

:)

fx used : artsacoustic reverb

Andromeda with no fx on it, except reverb, and normalization to 0db.

MIDI file

So turn off your fx on your soft synths, and let´s hear it! :p

uh i think i'm going to take the a/b test that were done in 2 forums over a single person like you

and why did you bring this up and it has nothing to do with the conversation above
DJ RANN
I've used both on several projects. I don't take jack from forums unless I've done it myself.

(p.s. Dan Lavry always posts on gearlsutz which is a big reason why it came out on top :toothless )

omg dan lavry posts, i guess his products are not as good. It doesn't matter wut you think. The majority of people have voted and claim the lavry black is superior. Wut you think their gonna chose? a pour soul called dj rann claiming the mytek is better? Ha. I mean who uses mytek? aerosmith? i saw it on their artist list LOL

Wow. I was actually totally winding you up because there is no way to say one is better than the other and if you've read all those forum posts (As well as doing A/B's yourself as I have) you know they are both as good as each other. The rest is subjective bull, whether you like it or not.

But then you came out like a complete cunt in your last couple of posts. Jesus, If you bought your lavry based on who they pay to say uses it, or didn't buy the mytek because they don't, then you're even more of an idiot than your last post suggests.

And no, if you ever went in to "real" studio you'd realize that mytek are as evenly respected as lavry. By the way these are both "mid level" pro interfaces, not "the best out there". I can post links to that costs 10x more that owns both those brands hands down (and you can search gearlutz too if you want to prove me right).

why would i want links to audiophile dacs, are you trying to impress me? thats really lame. Your dj name sucks too. Wut are you gonna do run up a hill dj rann? Dan Lavry's on paper design on a digital to analogue converter is superior to the mytek. Now back to analogue vs software
