I like the review section of events because it is a nice way to voice ones opinion. So here is mine:
-Décor/lineup/all this stuff:
-Décor in the trance room was not super…nothing too crazy but the reason why I liked it and why so many others did is because well I guess it was a lacking side of bal en blanc the previous years? Those lasers although I noticed 3 of them….made a major dif..dam man who doesn’t have lasers at a trance show? As for the house room well I guess it wasn’t financed properly considering what the trance room had :P
-What the hell was that large pole on the right side of the dj booth in the trance room? That thing ruined the sound so hard…u had to jump from left to right to hear the sound properly…also the sound system as a whole I found was a bit screwed up..
-line up: I didn’t buy vip because I thought I wasn’t going due to exams..but yea so much for that lol..I had to wait in regular line..got there at 10pm…was inside by 11:10….not as bad as what I heard in 2007 and definitely not as bad as 2008 (when I had vip) and I heard horror stories of 4 hour line ups….
-VIP Area: I feel bad for ppl who paid for vip only to have non-vip holders like me come into the vip section AND get free drinks/redbulls…..What happened to the security? The dude is right in front of me and I along with 4 of my friends were able to sneak in and get free drinks….Also the vip areas, in my opinion, sucked hard..2008 areas were much better…
-Music/artists:
-King Louis: I heard him while I was in line and wow….props to him….he should have performed all the way through until Axwell and even after Axwell to knock out that deadmouse fagot
-I pay a ticket at that price for the expensive artists so obviously I will not stay in the house room and listen to uppercut/ana paula (wtv her name is) when I have Markus/A&B/AVB in the trance room so obviously I left
-Markus: first time seeing the guy..and wow I was impressed…his set wasn’t too energetic but at the same time it wasn’t too soft….I find that it was too early to put Markus because after his set I noticed myself tiring out (considering that I only had 1 redbull the entire night…)
-A&B: I was not at BEB in 2007 due to exams…but I heard such great comments about them so I was happy to see them……they were good but not too good…I liked ‘I can’t sleep’ and other oceanlab tracks so I wasn’t disappointed..but from the sounds of it I think they did better in 2007…
-Axwell: Thank god Guetta was replaced with Axwell. It’s good to have change once in awhile..I saw axwell at opera in 2007 and wow this guy rocked he deserved my respect for his energy and his mixing….So whenever I got the chance to see him again I would go and this year was the only time that he came back to mtl..so I left A&B and went to catch his opening (1 thing I must add though…im not a househead so who the f*** was that lady? ANA PAULA or OFFER? They look so similar….and WTF is she doing dancing? I must have said it 100 times god I wish I can throw my shoes right in her face so she gets knocked out in front of axwell and that the poor guy doesn’t have to see her dancing around like a bafoon any longer…what an idiot…) But yea back to axwell he rocked the house room and had a lot of energy and when this guy has energy he delivers…
-AVB: got back to the trance room at 7:50 and dam the crowd was going crazy and I understood why….by 9:45 I was knocked out armin literally destroyed me..I don’t know if anyone else feels like that but wow he delivered some intense traxx…but now just as is the case with Axwell-Guetta man it would be really nice to see armin replaced by someone else…sure hes a good guy and delivers sick sets and according to the announcer ‘he helps sell out beb tickets’ but f*** man…change is good! (2005-red lite/2006 beb and stereo/2007-beb/sensation/2008 beb/2009-beb..come on change….!)
Those tamtam guys...wow i was going to punch them...did i pay to hear tthe music or bunch of d*** tamtam guys?? wtf man get them out of there...
As for the rest I can’t comment because by 10 am I was out and passed out like no tmrw..
Overall beb did well this year I give it a 9/10 compared to previous years… |

Quick review
VIP: was pointless.. i agree with most of you..
i didnt stand in line at all..but not worth the extra bucks....
and i ended up getting 8 of my friends who didnt have VIP in the booth as well...
Decor: as usual, trance room has better lighting , lasers and all..house room was very normal, nothing special. And compared to earlier years i felt balenblanc was underproduced.
People: were amazing, from all over the country, great vibes !
Music: HONESTLY offer nissim and ana paula was a turn off for me...
I couldnt tell the difference between their music or looks :)
but ana paula is definitely better then offer.
Trance room music was good, I thought AVB was the highlight there...
as for the house room, Axwell was just amazing. Finally someone with talent, I saw guetta once and he couldnt even beatmatch a couple tracks. Axwell had 4 decks going on at somepoints, and really it was flawless. And he didnt just stick to house, he played something for everyone, without getting to cheeezzzyyy..
Deadmau5 was okie. Nothing specatcualr there.. I thought he would at least have a white mou5 head on :)
KING louis and calderone were very good too, by then the crowd was also less clustered and everyone had more room to dance, and the music went alot more "afterhours" montreal....
OVERALL 8/10 good night ! |

Sick sick party, I had so much fun! I have danced like never before.
Now I am at work, I have to charge 15 hours today, I am exhausted and my legs do not respond... but it was so worth it!
Everybody talks about girls, but what about guys? I wish we could import a bunch of MTL cuties into NYC...I would hit clubs much more often!

| near perfect event for me. The line up was excellent in the tech room. They've played all the track that i was looking for. Laser=awesome. Good vibe, no waiting for the bathroom. I say near perfect cause there was still to many shirt less guys around, almost made me sick. On the plus side, everytime that i was about to throw up, i came across a nearly nude chick. That made me feel better...incredible memory. Because of this event i'm now looking to go to Global Gathering in england this july. Anyone here going? |
