22. Armin Van Buuren - Imagine (Paul Miller Mix)

Markus Schulz and Paavo/Jono sets are coming too.

Thanks for the add-ons! But i'm pretty sure it was the "Original" he played of "Imagine", since i hate the Paul Miller, and was in' happy to hear the real original one... :D

the final video will have a song playing throughout the entire clip and will feature a montage of each of the djs that performed that night as well as the lighting and crowd reaction

However,I have many clips of above & beyond, much more of armin and markus tho the only problem is the audio on my mic peaks when im on the dancefloor or very close to the monitors... it's not THAT bad actually so tell me if you want some mini clips to id tracks
MoAmyot
Anyone got Schulz and A&B tracklist? Would like to have 'em :D

That video make me wanna go to Bal En Blanc. Maybe just for the hell of it next year if they serve alcohol. Ill get completely smashed and fist pump to Armin like back in the Aria days lol. Marcus who the hell is yelling your name? kinda looked like Alteen!? Wtf?

My review:

I missed a couple of events in this past year but a big one like Bal en Blanc I'm there for sure.

I waited nearly 1h45 in line to get in, but was well surrounded this ol time :eyespop: ohlala. Kuddos for putting speakers near the end of the line. I was in at around 1:30 and spent my complete night in the Trance room.

I did my best to come early for Louis set but I was trapped home for family event (it was easter after all).

For the last hour of Schulz, he delivered enough to put me directly in the party.
I may be wrong but I believe it was the first time I heard Above&Beyond, and they performed above my expectations. I think I'll listen more to their radio show.
Armin... Armin... Armin... What I have not said on you after all these years? You can still count on me to vote you the world's #1 Dj. You warmed up a bit and just nailed it to the end after.
For Roger Shah, I like some of his stuff, but wasn't sure it would fit Bal en Blanc. I guess it was a good thing he closed. I got bored after 30min... couldn't feel my legs anyways.

I think I only took a 20 min break the entire night. The music, the vibe, and the people (girls) were just too good for not dancing my ass off. Is it just me or girls get hotter every year ?
The laser show was siiiiick but was just too much at times... I was affraid of getting blind when getting beamed at. Good thing they used it less near the end. I find last year's edition was better "decorated". This year it was like they concentrated only on the lasers.

I didn't crossed a lot of TAs this year. I wasn't really looking for you cause my eyes were busy looking at other things.

See you next time !

84th Ave.
ok where to begin:

surprisingly the lineup this year was really fast, both VIP and regular, only waited about 30 min, mind you this was at around 10.30

Markus Schulz

only trance DJ i saw from start to finish, and was quite happy with what he played. His set had alot of hard, banging tunes with not much breakdowns, always good. He got the party started right. Has always been one of the best technical trance DJs around, did not disappoint. Recognized some choons, everyone went nuts when he dropped Ferry Corsten - Brainbox. Overall a good set, many people were into his set, great energy. Happy for him he did well at his first BEB
6.5/10

Above & Beyond

saw only a little bit of their set, seemed like they followed Markus' hard lead, which was a good thing.
N/A

Axwell

first house DJ i saw, and didn't really hear the whole set, but a really good chunk of it. He played a great overall set, played some tech/harder stuff, threw in the odd cheese track. Was refreshing hearing a new DJ, played some great tracks. Everyone was going ape when he dropped M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade - Body Language (Club Mix) Glad i heard him, he brought a great energy and vibe to his set
7/10

Deadmau5

dont know if he knew where he was and at what time he was playing at cause he put on the biggest snooze set i've heard in my life. Playing at 8am requires a DJ to keep the party going by playing energetic music, this guy was playing like he was closing the party and wanting people to leave. Totally not my cup of tea. He was a MAJOR disappointment, i never heard him and was kinda of excited to see what he can do....boy i was i wrong. Started off really really slow, then played a bunch of his productions....perfect example of a producer that DJs. Like someone said the whole place was muttering "wheres Victor" including myself. His last 20 min were decent, started to play some interesting tracks. He dropped Nathan Fake - The Sky Was Pink (James Holden Remix) and Supermayer - Two Of Us which was refreshing
1.5/10 (only cause he played those two songs)

Victor Calderone

like expected, he saved the house room, basically the whole party music wise. He was the best DJ the whole night. Victor = ownage. Not only did i have high hopes for him before he started, he surpassed my expectations. He has always been one of my fav DJs, and that got reinforced sunday night. Liked him better than last yr, where he too owned the party. Played tech/hard and really got the crowd moving, mixing was unreal, spot on, too bad for the technical issue near the beginning. It was a sad reality that he was on that late and i had no energy left, esp after DeadmauZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Was trying to dance, slowly but surely i was lol. PLEASEEEEEE someone get him in Montreal, and not for a 2hr set, the whole night!! One of the best sets I've heard in a while, all new , didn't really reconize any songs (maybe i did, at that time in the morning....)
11/10

Other

Armin van Buuren

umm saw him for like 30-40 min when i was in and out of the trance room, finding ppl going to the washroom, etc. from what I heard it was all vocals and cheese trance. like this guy was decent a few years back, he turned into a fairy plain and simple. Again this is from the 30/40 min i saw him. Everyone told me they enjoyed his set of last yr, where he was decent, playing hard . Meh who knows....number 1 DJ lol

Decor

seems like ever year BEB slims out on the decor, like just a screen and a lazer. For being the biggest EDM party in Montreal, i was expecting something more, but not a big deal

saw soooooo many randoms that prob never heard a trance/house track in their life lol (from Ottawa that is). Guess its cool, adds to the atmosphere.

girls = like always :tongue2 .

if everything goes to plan, next yr i wont experience BEB cause i'll be at WMC!!!!!!
