i think deep techno is a pretty obvious thing. DEEP. TECHNO. let's not get too serious now

just think of deep, chunky, thick, ambience and percussion. like being in a cave with frequencies bouncing all over the place. just being surrounded by a veil of sound. woty listen to donato dozzys RA, it's a pretty straight forward image of what 'i' think deep techno means. no reason to get mad about it, i mean you give yourself off as a somewhat educated individual on this forum regarding techno/house. you can usually differentiate deep house from regular house. if you can't differentiate deep techno from regular techno then i question your feedback. don't mean to be a dick about it, just sayin' bro

at least you're not recording a ghetto tech mix

By the way, what the hell is "Ghettotech"? And if I draw 2 Step Garage then there will be rage.

Ghettotech is DJ Assault, DJ Godfather stuff IIRC... fast paced techno/miami bass with samples like "there's some hos in this house, if you see em point em out!".

Sure, but it's just techno. Melodic techno at best, like Adam said. Coming in here and saying "Deep Techno" is an established genre is pushing it don't you think? I'm no ing genre police, but if people don't say anything "Sexy Breakstep" is gonna be walking in here any minute.

I think everyone on TA has lodged a large stick up their ass in recent weeks.

That's fine, I respect your opinion. I just don't agree.

simple question - why do you support the term deep house and not deep techno?

According to what I know, Deep House has a movement and a history behind it. Deep House has roots way back in chicago, new york and so on. To me that's what makes a style or genre established. Now Deep Techno; to me it's just a tag. It's like someone just adding an adjective in front of techno and making it a genre. You posted Domina, for example. Do me that's dub techno. Sure it can be deep, but so what? There's tons of trippy techno out there, doesn't mean I can go labeling everything Trippy Techno. I hate these genre wars, but that's just stupid.

ps. Did you get my pm?
