| I've noticed the big increase in anti-Semitism on the net recently. Or I guess general racism in the guise of humour, but anti-Semitism in particular. It's stupid to get offended but it would be interesting to find out what the cause is. |

It's just like after a couple break up...everyone in the friendship circle has to wait a certain amount of time before they can make a joke about it.
In this case, the time period is 70 years and the generation making the jokes is distanced enough from the horrible events of WWII that it all seems like good fun. |

I'd be inclined to accept that if the jokes were actually funny. Funny racist humour has at least some redeeming value. but just going "ZOMG HE IS A JOO! BURN IN THE OVEN C*NT! LAAWWL" doesn't really do it for me in the humour department. It seems people find the very fact that it is taboo funny.. which I just think is odd. |
