Commercial Shooter Vincent LaForet's is Canon poster boy for the Mark IV and has produced a few videos using it exclusively with no light rigs:

No he definetly had a rig to stabalize. Here is a link to his blog that includes a behind the scenes video of Nocturne's filming. (sorry cannot embed)

One camera, on lense.... small pocket to carry a spare battery, mem card... nothing more.

Depending on what sort of lens you have, get a little top-loader bag, like this:

That's their smallest one, but there are deeper ones if you have a longer lens. Lowepro make good stuff (though it is a bit on the pricey side).

i use a lowepro backpack. i dont find them pricey at all. their prices are pretty average compared to other stuff on the market.

lowepro makes a good quality product which to me, justifies the price. i have a slingshot 200 and couldn't be happier.

Might just be an Australian thing then. No idea what the prices are like in Canada :p They do make good stuff though.

I also have one of these. A one-shoulder strap bag that is light, comfy, and fits your camera and all the extras without being big and bulky. weather-proof and decent enough padding "just in case." Totally worth the $$.
