yup, I got all the starter stuff (18-55). Got a one-shoulder weather-proof DSLR bag that I saw in the store (kinda expensive but worth it!!), Sandisk 8GB EXTREME III SDHC SD Card Class 6, Canon camera strap, etc.....
Just the basics. I want to learn my camera first before I go run around getting add-on's and fancier stuff that I have no clue about LOL. Also, figure out my photography style and needs before buying more lens, etc. ;) :)

right on. enjoy the cam :) |

Thats what I bought! just purchased with a lens and a few accessories!!
I decided to go with it because it just seemed like the best choice for me as a beginner. AND because I got a huge deal online from Best buy: it was $50 off the store price and free shipping. Went to the store yesterday, though, and played with it and asked all my questions, just so that I felt secure in my decision ;)
cant wait til it gets here, I am going to go photo-happy!
:D :D :D
thanks again, guys, you have actually been really helpful and honest, which is exactly what I need, considering I am new to this and its a decently big purchase ;) |
congratulations!! yay for another addition to the canon family. fack nikon. lol
like alex said, get the "nifty fifty". it is a good inexpensive prime lens. it is the canon 50mm f/1.8. |

| the 50 makes great portrait pics, but other than that, its pretty much useless in clubs. |

I have accumalated a load of airmiles and can't think of what to do with them, saw recently that they have a Canon EOS Rebel XS for 5,200 miles....
What are you thoughts on that one?
They gots a Nikon too, but again, want to utlize my lenses from the 35mm... |
Soo I checked today and there was a Canon EOS Digital Rebel T1i with 18-55 IS Lens Kit for 8500 Airmiles.
Ordered it, 4 weeks till it gets here! Should be fun.... |

I think you'll need a CF card, rather than an SD card. |
