I'm going to use the viewfinder... otherwise why did I get the camera.

I just want the option TO use the liveview or LCD when I want to, depending on when I deem necasary or easier.

I'd use both, viewfinder being the primary, but the LCD for simplicity at times.

So there is a way...liveview, I'm gonna look into it more when I get home, needs more play time which i've neglected to give it with activites of the weekend.

Want to get a flash, but probably going to wait till after christmas, perhaps some boxing day/week sales.

ALSO... I find it a little small to hold firmly by the right handle thingy... Is there anything extra, accesory or something I can add. I know I've seen mounts or carriers that pro photographers use with a harness for extra battery or flash that make the handle bigger. Anything else not quite as extensive?

The battery grip is what you want (Canon BG-E5)

I know the XS/XSI/T1i have a small body and the grip is pretty small. My pinky is always sticking out cause I can't fully grip it. With the battery grip you get a nice grip on it and you can shoot vertical shots easier :D You can probably find it on craigslist for about 150-200 bucks.

i LOVE having a grip for my xti. makes portrait shots so much easier and comfortable without having to bend my wrist to get to the shutter.

OK, did some exploring on Ebay... See some generic ones for approx $55, with warranties and stuff, some even with another spare battery... since i'm not going pro or anything, you think this is a good option? Or should I not around with ebay knockoff given the price of the actual camera? I don't want to save a few bucks now and end up ruining the camera because of shoddy batteries or a bad accesory.

This one ships from the states...$55 USD - $12.50 USD S&H

This one is $57 USD - Free S&H

And what are you guys using as cases? I'm still really weary about bring it out with me to crowded places beacause of spills or being bumped etc...

I was looking into getting a cool bag/case/pouch, or some kind of protection that is not to bulky or clunky, easy to carry, but kept the camera protected when not in use...

Comfort is cool too.

Looking for one for DEMF and other varios upcoming summer outings... don't want to be carrying some huge camera bag with me all around... getting spilled or bumped...

A case for what kind of gear? One camera and lens? Multiple lenses?

a cool 5,000 USD:gsmile:

Is causing quite the stir in pro photo circles mainly due its its HD video capabilities and its ability to perform in low light conditions.

Commercial Shooter Vincent LaForet's is Canon poster boy for the Mark IV and has produced a few videos using it exclusively with no light rigs:

That is mania!! using a tripod or something right?! How is it that stable, if i took video with a camera that size/weight, it woud be a bit jittery... nowhere NEAR as smooth!
