it would clear things up if you could tell everyone what the other genres are that trance borrows from.
so trance music is like a one-stop shop? kind of like the wal-mart of music? or is it more like a 7 eleven, a 'convenience genre'. You like it because it lets you listen to many genres at the same time?
Were you one of those kids who mixes together all the sodas at the soda fountain? |

As far as the genres go, it's only to agree with someone else, I could careless what you think since you are not a trance head.
So why bother with this thread then? You obviously aren't a trance addict are you? Your input on how "trance addicts" are narrow minded, boring tastes, really don't contribute at all. I get the notion you don't like people with a preference of only one type of EDM genre, particularly trance.
And speaking of the soda fountain, were you one of those little dips who stirred a lot of the soda that I mixed together? Cuz you sure like to stir up trouble. Go find and praise a minimal thread.

i couldn't care less what music you listen to really, but if you are going to make outrageous claims about it like you made, you should be ready to own up to them.
and i am a 'dip' and 'hater' because I challenge your ridiculous statements?
and wtf does 'minimal' have to do with this at all? I would say the same thing to someone who only listens to that and then proceeds to tell everyone that it is a superior form of music because it incorporates the most amount of genres |

Dude, I never said trance music is better than any other one. When did I ever say that? I think you are getting mixing up my statements about me "loving trance" with "trance owns all other edm music!".
I am not here to argue with you, it's not my intention, but since you wanted to make me look like an idiot I had to ask why you were being so cold?
I don't think I ever intended to induce that trance is the better genre out there, not at all. All I wanted to say was trance is awesome, and I can't help but listen to it only. Sorry for that confusion, really, I am not being sarcastic nor a jerk, I just wanted to share my feelings about trance. Is that ridiculous?

i don't know... maybe i got that sense of superiority from when you said that people who think trance is boring are actually the boring ones, and where you said in the very first post that it is an acquired taste that leaves a tremendous impression on people. |

Well, I wasn't clear on what I said at first. And that's my fault, I think EDM in general really is an acquired taste and leaves a tremendous impression people. I mean, the majority of people that I know can't even listen to a song that lasts more than 5 minutes. So how about a track that's like, 8-10 minutes on average?
Anyway, sorry about all this confusion. No, I wasn't on drugs when I was writing this thread. I just got one of those highs that I get and felt the need to share it with you guys. That's all. :D |
