Hell I got Trance all over my mp3 tracklist.
Only some hint of house.. and weird electronic music.
But its mainly electronic.
Yeah its kinda funny , how you suddenly refuse to listen to pop/rock/rap after you decided to listen to trance. It happens to me.
So yeah I guess I got the Trance Only Syndrome.. Do I need a doc? |

On the other hand, I ended up getting into a lot of hip-hop after I got sick and tired of trance (late 90s). |

I had trance only syndrome at first. Then expanded to other genres, such as psy ambient, electro/prog house, jungle, etc.
I just like the vibe of the music compared with rock and rap. |

Well, very good you didn't start giving examples of genres where trance producers borrowed elements. Nefardec starts throwing in gernes where he thinks trance didn't borrow elements. Like someone claimed the opposite. What a stupid approach that is. People who listen trance easily can give some genres. Someone who can't should start listening or just shut up.
I still think we feel correctly about the borrowing elements of other genres. If someone disargees that's fine with me. No-one has to agree, but I'm convinced there are many people who feel the same.
At least the popularity of (cheesy) trance has to do with the borrowing of elements, because that's why some keep bashing about it. |

name the genres and and what is borrowed from them.
this is elementary. if you make a claim, especially a contentious one, you have to substantiate it, or it's more than open to criticism - and you come across as a dumbass. |

and the only connection trance music has to classical music is that producers rip off and loop melodies from symphonic music to cover up their lack of inspiration, and that it takes itself way too seriously.
