Nobody said that at all. What the is wrong with your people's reading comprehension? Are you all fresh off the boat or something?? I explicitly stated it, in fact, in my initial response. |
Too much emotion involved and assumptions made about the view that is opposite their view. At least I'd think that's what's happening. |

where are we getting with this?

My point is that unless you've attained some enlightened state where you see all things as being completely equal, you're going to make some assumptions about what you see.
In the case of the example I gave, yes, someone wearing the outfit I described may be a construction worker, may be a student living on campus going to class, may be a homeless person, or quite possibly someone from a low-income background.
Regardless, the chances of someone dressing in such a manner being a multi-millionaire who is...
a) just slumming it to see how the other half lives
b) incredibly frugal despite their wealth
c) dressing this way because "appearances don't matter"
...are slim to none. On the generous side, let's say one out of every 1,000 people who dress this way are multi-millionaires.
Now, let's move this over to clubland. We have 1,000 girls dressed in stilettos, cleavage-baring tops with push-up bras and either painted-on, low slung jeans showing thong-a-plenty or skirts that leave little to the imagination. Out of these 1,000 girls, how many are:
a) normally very modest and reserved and who are just curious as to why other women dress in this manner
b) car show models who just got off work and went straight to the club
c) dressing this way because "appearances don't matter"
? |

well guys don't have to be mindless drones and just realize that chicks that dress like that have low self esteem and therefore are not worth the dudes time since they probably suck in bed anyways. |
Oh c'mon Margs, you know it doesn't work like that. Any guys cerebral enough to be analyzing the situation in that much detail aren't going to be the ones dry-humping random girls at the entrance.
Seriously ask yourself, if five sweaty Persian dudes started hitting on you at the club, how many different outcomes could there possibly be if you shared a cab home and invited them into your apartment? Oh, yes, I'm sure these five random overdressed hypercologned sleazebags in the car with you are really just thinking, "hmm, these fine dignified ladies are wearing rather skimpy clothing, perhaps they have low self-esteem or cannot afford long pants and therefore we should be on our way after some herbal tea and light conversation."
What you and several other people are doing in this thread (aside from assuming that the men really attempted to rape these girls, an assumption not presently supported by any evidence) is applying a very specific and fairly high standard of behaviour to the same class of people who by definition don't meet that standard - guys who lavish attention on scantily-clad females with the obviously transparent aim of receiving a quick and easy lay. |

Just cause your moms a whore don't assume its the same for everyone else. And what we are against is the fact that people think its ok to treat women like based on what they are wearing. If thats not what these douche bags are saying they should learn to express themselves better |

| Hasn't this whole thread continued based on the suggestion that this wouldn't have happened to these women, or they would have been less likely to be raped, if they hadn't dressed up provacitvely?!?! ...Assuming that they did? |
|
|
| Silky Johnson |
| No, it's based on the fact that nobody willingly has sex with Persians. |
