Except I never made that "rediculous" argument. In fact, nobody really made that argument; we know nothing about what the girls were wearing. That was nothing but a straw-man argument conjured up by FunkyCrew which obviously ruffled a few feathers and somehow managed to derail the thread for several pages.

I have ignored that little detour. It's irrelevant. Your quasi-sarcastic diatribes apparently intended to mock an argument that I never personally made do not somehow make it relevant, regardless of how many other people foolishly continue to take the bait.

If this is in fact a circular debate, it's only circular because certain people are refusing to acknowledge the facts (or the concept of evidence in general) and instead keep dredging up the same repetitive emotional arguments and blanket generalizations. Mind you, I wouldn't call that circular, more like one-sided.

Feel free to continue making weak arguments and, when those arguments are deconstructed, claim that they were merely analogies to previous arguments intended to highlight how weak those ones were. Just keep in mind that it's not a particularly effective debating strategy when (a) the analogy is barely plausible to begin with and (b) neither one actually has anything to do with the original topic.

honestly, aaron. you are such a loser sometimes. lol. do you even know what you are arguing about? are you trying to defend these guys? or are you trying to put down the media for pointing them out? are you trying to shut me up? are you saying girls dress slutty but don't give guys the time of day? what exactly are you trying to say. arghhhhh. so frustrating.

i never said that you thought girls deserved to get raped because of what they are wearing. i wasn't talking directly to you. i was saying a statement in general. don't get offended.

this whole thread has changed directions so many different times. it's stupid. we are not even discussing anything. we are just talking to ourselves.

any discussion with you, aaron, in particular, ends with you telling the other person that they shouldn't be discussing anything with you since they don't follow your strict rules of discussion and arguement. that's pretty lame. i wasn't even arguing with you. i was talking in general.

the only thing i wanted to say in this thread is that no matter what a chick wears she doesn't deserve to be molested. at any stage of interaction the chick can say stop or say no and that means stop the molesting. and i honestly thing there shouldn't be a but, or however, or if following that statement. that's all. you don't have to agree with me. you don't have to respond. i am not arguing. i am saying a statement. are you going to deny that too?

you were the one talking to yourself about the media stringing the guys up. that was your own topic you introduced into the thread. they kind of had to, to find them.

I sense a lot of sexual tension in this thread.

I don't think it's ridiculous for you to say that at all. I just think it's absurd that you would make that statement after arguing against it for so long.

Those photos and the way they are dressed DO make them out to be "shady characters", and they SHOULD be raising the hairs on back of your neck because if they are dressed like that, and maintain that type of body posture (glares, "tough-guy" looks) they SHOULD be triggering alarms in your head telling you to "stay away from those guys". To do anything else would increase your chances that you interact with a guy (or group of guys) that is more likely to mistreat you.

That's not to say that EVERY guy who follows that image is a guy who mistreats women, but to highlight that that type of posturing from a person sends messages to us that we interpret (sometimes wrongly) that will cause US to react to them in a certain way (and one way more likely than the rest). Which shows that based on how a person is dressed (along with their body language), they are more likely to be treated in a certain way, compared to other styles of dress.

You are ABSOLUTELY right that it takes one word for the girl to end her participation in anything that me be going on, but the REALITY is that there are guys who don't listen, and get pushy (or worse, force themselves on you and rape you), and those types of guys are more likely to target easy, slutty-looking girls than other styles. It's not COMPLETELY random, at least not as much as you think. There ARE preventative actions you can take to lower your chance of being attacked by a sexual offender, and step one is to stop dressing like a slut.

EDIT: Which really, has NOTHING to do with whether or not the guys did something wrong. That depends on what ACTUALLY occurred, and if it's proven they did something wrong, then 'em, burn the s for all I care. The conversation about dress-code is a separate discussion, and no one here has EVER said it's ok to rape a girl because of how she's dressed, only that if the girls were dressed like sluts, it was a really stupid thing to do.

i dunno... i dont see a problem with it at all. if our community understands what they are talking about then who cares?

technically, "brown" people fall in to the category of "black" when it comes to skin pigmentation but if they said they are looking for "black males" then everyone would automatically assume afro-canadians.

When someone says brown I automatically think Desi(indian, pakistani, sri lankan.etc.) You know...like coolies from the west indies. These niggas look middle eastern, I wouldnt be looking out for them. Asian to me is someone from phillipines, vietnam, cambodia. korea, japan...etc. But then again, over in the U.K they call desis asians. So the report over there woulda been different. But like LKD says ...these muhfuhkas dont even have the termination down right.

Yeah this thread is way long. I only read the first 2 pages btw. I dont know, but its a little strange to me that these guys went all the way to the place the girls were staying and all of sudden got raped. If that was me I'd be like why you getting in our cab?? why you coming up my floor??? why don't you have keys to get in??
But then again, I've been ripped off more than once and some people are good salesman.....scam artists that make you believe anything.

Rape is a Horrible thing I imagine...if anyone rapes my mom or my sis I'll be in jail for a long long time. Torture is just a word, not until you experience something do you know what it truly means.

Alrighty. Although I think it's customary not to quote somebody when you're not replying directly to them or making specific references to something they wrote.

Ok - yes, I agree with this general statement which is tangentially related to but not directly relevant to the actual topic of the thread or any of the side topics it spawned. You win. ;)

I would also like to make a general statement that is not an argument and may or may not be pertinent to this thread: No matter how greasy, sleazy, creepy, or obnoxious a man may be, he does not deserve to be falsely accused of rape and have his life ruined before he ever has a chance to defend himself.

haha Im just curious .

Hey7, are you saying these boys look "greasy, sleezy, amd creepy?????

I dont know but from the pics those dudes look like stand up guys to me. But then again, thats me being a stupid human being and judging someone based on the way they look. They could be murderers for all I know.

I gotta agree with our bro here..:D

Did someone say that these dudes look slimey? I would beg to differ...unless you're deriving something from their obvious backgrounds which have been discussed at length here....
