just like the guys in this thread are assuming that the girls were probably dressed slutty and leading them on. anything could have happened. imagine the girls were threatened in some way at the party. what if they were drugged? are they still stupid for going back to the hotel? and yeah, don't accept drinks from strangers, blah blah blah. it's easy to slip something to someone even if they are holding on to there drink for dear life.

it wasn't an apartment. it was a hotel. 99 percent of the time a taxi driver is talking on the cell phone and wants you out of the cab ASAP so you don't puke in there. hotel staff assume it's new years and a little party in a room is happened. nothing ing weird about that. and obviously they had to take a couple of taxis so it wasn't as obvious to as something strange going on.

PS. you guys know that this is just a circular debate. no one wins. we all lose cuz people ing suck.

well lets put it this way...the guys are dressed rather well, theres no (read zero) pictorial description of the women, so who gets the benefit of a doubt? the ones pictured and accused? or the supposed victims?

all we've been saying in this whole thread (for the 197th time) is...."what if the women dressed inappropriately and led these guys on after which they brought them to their hotel room and then cried wolf?"

PS. funkyflu stfu

So because of how the guys dressed and a few camera shots published in the paper, you feel that they should expect to be accused of rape by a bunch of girls who allow them into their hotel room after the party?

Did you actually just make that argument?

Epidemiologists would disagree.

epidemiologists study disease patterns in populations. i am talking about random disease in single individuals. you can look at patterns in groups of people all you want but there is always that random person in butt idaho that doesn't fit the pattern.

you are obviously not understanding. just like it's rediculous for me to say that, it's just as rediculous for others to say that if the girls dressed slutty they should expect something bad to happen to them

yeah. what if?

are you telling me liam that if you were with 5 of your friends and went to a new years party that you would go with those 5 friends with 2 girls that you didn't know back to their hotel room. you wouldn't think that could look bad if anything happened? i bet you wouldn't go.

Except I never made that "rediculous" argument. In fact, nobody really made that argument; we know nothing about what the girls were wearing. That was nothing but a straw-man argument conjured up by FunkyCrew which obviously ruffled a few feathers and somehow managed to derail the thread for several pages.

I have ignored that little detour. It's irrelevant. Your quasi-sarcastic diatribes apparently intended to mock an argument that I never personally made do not somehow make it relevant, regardless of how many other people foolishly continue to take the bait.

If this is in fact a circular debate, it's only circular because certain people are refusing to acknowledge the facts (or the concept of evidence in general) and instead keep dredging up the same repetitive emotional arguments and blanket generalizations. Mind you, I wouldn't call that circular, more like one-sided.

Feel free to continue making weak arguments and, when those arguments are deconstructed, claim that they were merely analogies to previous arguments intended to highlight how weak those ones were. Just keep in mind that it's not a particularly effective debating strategy when (a) the analogy is barely plausible to begin with and (b) neither one actually has anything to do with the original topic.

Not to be a grammar police or anything, but it's actually ridiculous
