Why the hostility to that comment? Women have become so "career" oriented that many have lost their femininity, trying to out-do men or basically become them, psychologically speaking. An argument can be made that this has affected the nuclear family. I'm all for empowerment, but some women lose their identity as "a woman" when they push too hard.

I believe that in due time, women will be paid more than men going withe demographic trends. |
Already in the works. By the end of 2009, there were more female CEO's then men for the first time. |

Why is it so stigmatized or considered unacceptable to be a feminist? |
Because, just like in any movement, the extremists make everyone else look bad. And are the moderate feminists nowadays? I don't really know that many...
I don't really mind them most of the time, though Do you reckon you're not given equal rights? Well, have them. Do you think you're being prejudiced against? Well, let's look into it. However, the moment you act all paranoid and claim even the grammar of a given language is oppressing you (I'm not kidding!), then you have the power to make me roll my eyes so hard I can even see my brain squirming and writhing in agony. |

So what though? Surely that is their choice? Other than biological determinism (which was central to the original division of labour), why must the nuclear family hinge around the female, in the context of careers? |

Its Lews (PKC's BF?), he did'nt even understand what he read. I'm guessing if you sit on your thumb daily, its hard for Lews to breath out of the place he normally breaths, if his thumb is blocking air passage, this would affect his thinking/understanding. |
