let me point out as usual... Circus is my favorite club. Its home. The LMD guys are awesome and good friends and I know they are fighting an uphill battle so more props to those guys. |
We know the issue isn't LMD. The issue has been the issue long before LMD arrived. The issue has been the issue from the very beginning. :p |

dang, almost 4k.
well , giant should move back to circus, then they wouldn't have any problem getting shut down.
i mean, given the popularity of the talent that they bring in and since circus has the capacity... its a win win, no?
im not officially in the clubbing business and i know there are many other factors involved.....but even the digweed show on nye, couldnt that sell 3800 tickets....and angello, etc, couldnt they sell 3800 tickets and fill circus? |
brutha, we all have tried securing popular talent at Circus at one time or another. Its very difficult with the stuff mentioned above and the politics involved regardless of the promoter.
I'd also like to mention that while Giant was at Circus, they were partnered with Spundae. |

| Could it be the promoter wants more than the owner wants to pay, it has got to be about dinero? Anyway, yeah, I doubt it will change. However, this is the only club that really brings the trance you wanna hear from everywhere. Yes, it does look like a ghost town at times, but when they finally land a good headliner, it is a better experience for me any day; comparing the times I've gone to Vanguard(Giant era) and Avalon (now). When GE played, it did remind me of when Spundae use to be there. good times. :) |

This was the alternative to going to see Steve Angello? Why did they even bother leaving the hotel?

Yeah, for SVD, I saw this one guy dancing in just white socks all over the floor, and i'm talking about early, like 30 mins after guestlist opened. You tell me what kinda impression you get when you haven't been there in 4 years? |

One big reason I go to Circus on a regular basis...I'm really not into bone conduction hearing loss . Even earplugs aren't a good solution when it's that loud. :wtf: |

i bet some of them were not even women. you want good looking women at EDM events in CA, go check out san diego. San francisco has the coolest/friendliest people, but San diego has the most beautiful ladies who support the edm scene.
LA just has LA going for it, so it gets all the top talent.
LA DJ talent, SF venues, SD women in one place would be perfect. |
To bad the scene sucks ass down here.
I rather be with a normal crowd and a good vibe then a good looking crowd and ty vibes.
Thats the specific reason why I drive to LA and Vegas instead of partying here.
Like I mentioned before, only the OC has a worse crowd then SD lol |

I enjoy Playhouse Friday nights, especially their Chris Garcia monthly residency. |

I don't know, I stop listening to deep house in high school, 12 years ago. When DJ Irene was queen at the Arena. Now where is that Tetris song remix, :P

No, this is not a joke. Brian sincerely believes this. I think he said it to Sean Tyas' face one time after Sean Tyas said, "What is this minimal crap!?!" (Referring to Brian's CD at an after-party in Hollywood)
While listening to trance may not turn everyone into an idiot, it may have that effect on some people. Further field studies must be conducted before absolute proof and causation is found to be true. At this point it may only be a correlating factor to the increasing amount of idiocy in American society.
Variety truly is the spice of life, and listening to only trance may be harmful. That's why us old timers suggest changing it up every now and again; listen to some dubstep, drum n' bass, electro, minimal, techno, tech-house, deep house, reggae, and rock n' roll. It does a body & brain some good. |

If that's the afterparty I'm thinking of, where most of the people were techno/tech house heads, Sean MORE than held his own in the music "discussions". More like schooled them. If Brian did say that (I didn't hear it), and that's the best he could come up with, then I think we know what kind of music turns people into idiots :p
Love ya Brian ;) |
