yeah but next time maybe I WON'T even play your tracks like umm "Under a pink cherry tree" which I did include in a recent mix. Whatever, ur just peeved at my opinion. This is the industry you're in so take it.

Yeah I am. What's the big deal? Those ticketholders from last week should get priority tonight over everyone else but now they have to compete to get in with non-ticketholders. If the promotors truly cared about making up new years for the ppl last week, they should give them privledge over the other ppl

On the Facebook page the promotors are saying that Avicii wanted the show to be free for everyone. This truly does suck for ppl that bought the tickets for NYE event. Their NYE party got cancelled amidst a mob outside the club, their service charges aren't getting reversed and now they're being treated like every other Joe and Jane Doe out there who didn't get tix originally.

Hmmm.. I wonder if Avicii is getting another 40 K for this but perhaps not since it's all free?

There's 2 lines 1 for ticket holders one for general public. I'm gonna take a guess they'll hold 1500 capacity for the ticket holders and then let the gen public use the other 1700. Which isn't a bad deal because the ticket holders will be able to show up when they want and get in quick whereas the general public either show up super early or don't get in.

Dunno what Avicii is being paid for the make up event but keep in mind the original event was cancelled at zero fault of his own. The fact he jumped in and demanded this event be free is pretty good too, you can't knock him for that. He promised people a free show and obviously didn't like it when he saw tickets were being sold.

I'm also going to give Sound Academy the benefit of the doubt that they provide proper security since they are a legit concert venue, not a gym/event space/club who put a bunch of rooms together and hired the 3 stooges for security.

I don't know the specifics behind the decision to make it a 100% completely free show but I will say it's a smart move since it would be another PR/front-door-logistical nightmare dealing with the ppl who got their NYE tickets refunded but didn't bring a receipt/etc. (to prove this) and would be forced to pay $20 to get in... not to mention the possible freeloaders who catch wind of this and say the same thing (causing more mass confusion).

/end my first 'supreme run-on sentence' of 2011

From what they said on the event page it was Avicii's request to make it free for everyone. I thought that was going to be a disaster but once they announced that there would be 2 separate lines (NYE ticket holders and general public) it made sense.

They ended up refunding (minus fees of course) everyone who bought make up show tickets through ticketmaster. Attendees lose, promoters lose, Avicii loses, middleman ticket agents and their non-refundable fees, WIN...

they kept deleting my posts too :) NYE ticket holders are very upset over this free show thingy
