| received a call from 99 sudbury about my refund. the guy sounded like he was about to tell me my mother died rather than me getting a refund haha. |

To me, $ isnt the issue here. its secondary. The fact that this event ws oversold and they hired ty secuity, is the scary thing.
Any idiot could've seen via people 's fb statuses in the week leading up to the event that there wasa a very HIGH demand for extra tickets, at which point they should've hired more/better security. Assuming the venue would handle it is just dumb, and honestly, with the crowd they were expecting (not very underground minded) you know that was gonna hit the fan) not hiring more is greedy and probably negligent
I hope they throw the book at these people and it serves as an example to others to end the greed before somebody gets hurt or killed.
This city's reputation for events is starting to go sideways. |

theyve lost their liquor license and are facing fines from what ive read. But i agree, although ive got $1500 on my CC, whatevs, i wouldve much rather paid for a good nite than have to deal with this now.

is there alot of people that THINK they know what they are doing holding positions they shuoldnt have or didnt earn these days.
Maybe promoters should be regulated and licensed.
I simply dont trust anyone throwing parties anymore |

after 11pm the noise abatement rules are in effect and the airport is essentially closed to everyone except medevac flights (ornge helicopters). No private or commercial jets are allowed in at anytime of the day either, noise rules, only medevac jets are which is rare, its usually just the helicopters. |

the gov allowed raves on public property for YEARS.
and im not talking about people with proven track records. i'm talking about these newbies doing one-offs
not just ANYONE should be allowed to do these things.
and it doesnt have to be edm specific, it could be based on numbers of people expected. whatever the genre of msuic.
whats the alternative? let them keep getting away with this carte blanche? |
