What a buzzkill... but no party is worth jeopardizing your safety

Didn't know Sudbury fits 1500, hmm

Hasn't this venue already had an event that was shut down due to overselling or something like that?

Maybe it was a hallowe'en party last year....
FunkyCrew
well at least this means another Avicii Toronto booking :) though I might be reluctant to deal with these promoters in future :\

That really sucks for peoples new years, I really winder how they will organize a free show and make the capacity work, when people were already trying to sneak in (according to the star). Avicii is in Waterloo next week in the 13th so I wonder if it will be around then?

#2 Flight from centre island on porter to Montreal is completely doable in 45 minutes or so. So I'd imagine with a private plane his plans would've been possible with time to spare. If he was supposed to be on during midnight at 99 then I'd say set would finish 2-3am and have ample room to make the trip.

about an hour and 20 mins on porter. however, they don't and arent allowed to fly in the middle of the night.

Ahh ya you're right I just checked the website as it's been awhile since I made the flight and it's an hour and 10 minutes total. You're also right about porter not flying at night but that's why I said private jet as they break the no nighttime rule all the time on centre island.

It's good this whole thing is getting media attention so the wrongful parties involved get the negative reputation they deserve. But at the same time it's pretty brutal as the last thing legit promoters need is more red tape when it comes to get liquor license, insurance, renting space etc.

So does anyone here know what Sudburys actual capacity is?
