I just hope he doesn't turn into another SHM dude  they all play the same stuff now..

hes pretty much the 4th member now lol. In regards to SHM, this summer they pushed the same setlist with variations here or there but they said theyre working on a whole bunch of new stuff so we'll see how that goes. But I do agree, they have to switch it up, in the end it all comes down to what the labels want them to play, especially for bigger djs who are one even bigger djs' labels, if that makes sense.

I caught Axwell during labour day weekend at NYC and he was either playing his own productions or productions of the other 2.. I mean I love their stuff but not that extent! I left Electric Zoo HATING "One" because it was ridiculously overplayed

I'm really not complaining though! Just observing - I'm just not used to hearing EM material live at a club, you know?
usually the track lists would be dif, but totally makes sense as to what he's given to play + he's got a long way to go as well

That's true but keep in mind his essential mix came out less than a month ago. It's not often where you end up seeing an artist within a few weeks after that's released.

yeah I would expect the DJ to have mostly similar songs from the EM if it was done so soon. most of these DJs play similar songs week after week unless a decent amount of time has gone by where they're finally playing other stuff

I understand, but this is the first time I heard the Dj play a very similar set as his EM - I noticed that Dj's keep their radio show track listings similar to the recent gigs, but EM's were always a bit dif - at least the EM's I listen too

as DudeBud mentioned it prob has to do with the label he's under and that he's still a very novice Dj

It's because he plays the same songs that SHM plays. It's like they are a circle and they play eachother's tracks until you pray that one year passes so you hear something new.

This is why i was so disappointed in both SHM EM and Avicii EM. Same .

Was a decent jam, specially for free. But as you can tell from earlier in this thread Avicii doesn't exactly hit a chord in most people's hearts on TA. =)

everyone on TA thinks they are experts for everything. 99% of their comments are meaningless.

I think people are just passionate about what they like and dislike. I see that as a good thing.
