Aside from all the other drivel you posted in your Diarrhea like stream of consciousness post, Bob wasn't paid to say it. Arturia just licencsed the minimoog name.

The Arturia Software came out out after the launch of his voyager, something which took him 20 years just to be able to do due to him losing the rights to moog, so it was not in his interest to endorse a product that cost a fraction of his hardware.

That's exactly why I asked him and why I was surprised with the frank answer.

Get your misguided straight before you assume things you nothing about.

The true test of a deadlocked debate is the width of its derails.

This thread sure hammers that point home doesnt it?

I said it? The arturia sofsynth was not competing with his 2.5-3k value analog component based synthesizer on any level you cretin.
So why not get the cheddar from the arturia peeps? Secondly I know u are too thick to understand this and but you know... this acts as free advertisment. yeah :rolleyes:You think ssl peeps is tripping coz waves or propellerheads or Universal audio is emulating their stuff? No coz in situations when a real mixer is needed this stuff is not gonna cut the mustard homeboy. It just familiarizez the music peeps with their product. So they see it as free advertisment they don't got to pay for. Thirdly the real moog is on a whole other level.
If you REALLY think there is no difference between an actual minimoog and an arturia softsynth more power to you... each to their own and all that but all i can say is WOW! :wtf:

:stongue: :stongue: This thread was worth it for this post.

We certainly don't percieve it via a digital representation. Node points and gaps don't imply digital mate, they just imply that our perception isn't a one to one representation of the physical world. You can have node points and gaps in an analogue system quite easily.

Anyway, I'm bowing out of this thread. As amusing as it is to watch a whole bunch of people argue about stuff they just don't understand, I really have better things to do:stongue:
Mad for Brad
which is analogous to what a digital system does. I never once said it was a digital system. And analog, by definition does not have gaps unless you are referring to subatomic structures but that is just stupid.
Prototrance
analog vs digital to softsynths vs hardware to who's best at physics.

you guys all make it far to difficult, just use what sounds better to your ears and wallet and get on with it, be happy!

It's like you guys talking about what steers better, BOEING or AIRBUS, you've never flown one nad you never will, so what's the use of discussing it? produce, share, review, be happy..... instead of wasting all that talent on useless topics......

Energy, and thus force, momentum and mass are products of packets of energy being transfered, 'quanta'. Electrons, indeed all subatomic particles have stepped states everywhere, and do not behave outside of these universal stepped states.

So for a Hydrogen atom to become a helium atom, an unchanging exchange of energy is required - that's why the sun burns as it does, thats how an atomic clock works - defined packets of energy are transfered.

The energy expelled as sound out of a string or an analogue circuit is the expression of packets energy quanta. Each quanta a fundamnetal 'size' according to Universal laws. A system may express greater amounts as a whole, but each transference at the particle level obeys these defined fixed sums.

So for me it's all digital:clown:
