not quite, you can still sell your Fruity track, they'll probably just ask you for the stems or project and THEN go to someone having a big rig studio. Otherwise no deal. lol ;) |
You think that's what they did with Garrix? |

I don't know what they did with Garrix, I know he endorses FLStudio
And he probably has a whole production team behind him and a non disclosure agreement and a precooked marketing story. :D
No evidence ofcourse but that's how these things seem to go nowadays. |

Nah, I see people in my surroundings do serious producing/mastering/post-production on fairly modest setups. Ranging from producing and ghostproducing for well known acts to delivering part of the soundtracks for actual Hollywood movies with a budget of ±60 million dollar.
If what you (not sure if you're partually serious on the remark despite the smiley or lol) or Lovehate were saying was the full truth these people wouldn't make a living from music. Good thing is they're not even exceptions to the rule. They might do bigger things than the majority their setup might be closer to that of a hobby gotten out of hand. |

True, but there is a difference between creating and engineering.
There is very serious content created on modest systems indeed
But that's only 1 part of the process.
And for sure analog is not critical at any stage, people just have a preference to work a certain way or being after a certain sound. |

Saw it come by earlier on Facebook. ing incredible piece. I love how it can also be used musically because of the strings. |

Though that digital cold sound has its place. In a cluttered uplifting track it doesn't really matter. Actually, that digital cold sounds enabled uplifting to grow from 2003 onwards.
In a minimalistic mix analog still overshadows digital. |

Digital can be great for stuff like trance/psy-trance, but in most other genres I don't think it can hold up to analog. |

Strongly disagree. It's just the opposite specifically for psy/goa.
Early Astral Projection is unbeatable. |
