The discussion is about plugins <> real synths / outboard.
All your googled knowledge has nothing to do with that discussion
so either your brain has not developed to the same level like everyone else here, or you are just extremely ignorant. Either way your discussion and arguments make no sense AT ALL to everyone else here. |

Of course we can make decent tracks in the digital realm, this is not in dispute, but in the final analysis I personally find analogue to have a more pleasing rounded quality, even though I'm 95% ITB these days.
I think a great place to really hear the difference is in the realm of techno where some of those kick / bass combinations done in analogue are just the pinnacle of sonic goodness. You can really hear this by A/B ing and using headphones.
I'm not saying we must all strive to go analogue, of course not, digital is perfectly capable of getting a result listeners can engage with.
I have yet to find a perfect unadulterated sub / sine wave in digital once you start processing that sub with software dynamics - I can always hear aliasing and odd noises. |

Logic and reason need a founding in fact.
Your arguments are usually based on your own ignorance and appear to sourced on detailed study of articles in Computer Music magazine. |

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if it's analog or digital if your song sucks to begin with. |

But if you've created something decent, it might. |

It might, or it might not.
I'm really tired of the endless gear debates. Just use what you know and be happy. |

nice vid, proves a few things really.
and the fact that djryan is one of the convinced analog purist makes it just as laughable as any other religion.
i never though TA would become as narrow minded as gearslutz. ive said it now 10 times, the only thing about analog is noise and distortion which can very well be made in the digital domain as well, you just have to try.
finally; we all play it back digitally through are computers anyway so any "magic" in the analog domain that digital cannot "capture" (i cant believe i even say it lol), will be lost even if you use analog synthesizers.
you are all a bunch of fanboys and religios idiots. your ghosts doesnt exists. the world is flat and all that.
if you make better music using analog equipment then thats just good presets, inspiration, better user interfaces, and the fact that you probably like distortion.
nope
it matters how much money and time your wasted making that sucky thing. digital is better (cheaper/faster - same result).
only correct answer, this is a marketing thing and nothing more. the fact that bob moog says analog is magic isnt all that strange. he ing sell the things (well did, rest in pieces). i have respect for old technology but sometimes dwelling bout this old things is obstructing development for something better - 32bit wav and monitors as standard.
when obsessions with God or gods or Allah stops, in other word when humanity dies.
:p
its absolutely not. tons of noise and distortion.
however we only have X and Y for electrical signals. the last dimension Z is time. its not that ing magic.
no we are actually discussing analog electrical signals converted to bits and bytes. the discussion regarding the synths have been closed pages ago that soft synths can generate the exact same things as hardware synths, however the distortion in the electrical domain is the only difference, which also can be added in the digital domain by using distortion plugs. no problem. |
nope |

its of no use to argue with religious people, it never has. you are muslims, im buddhist. |
Well, that explains it.
