Anyone else think magic mushrooms are ing amazing? They've made me far more motivated to do everything in my life, like school etc currently, as well as made me a lot more chilled about things that annoy me. The fact that you kind've feel like a monkey on them is kinda weird though, and 3d vision is insane... ask if you want an explanation of that.
Also, dubstep is ing amazing on shrooms, the combination of some of the really ed sounds with all the rythmn and syncopation is really profound.
Who else does them sometimes? |

| Unfortunately I have no drug connection, so it's almost impossible to get my hands even on weed, let alone shrooms. :( |

This is what forests are for (that and 10+ hours of doing some research, no need to die from mushroom poisening here).
The last place I got some from was "the kid with the bag of shrooms" at a rave last weekend.
Also, anyone feel as if the entire fantasy genre came from taking shrooms? I mean people started getting into them occasionally in the medieval times so it makes sense... and a lot of it just wreaks of a shroom trip, like the whole quest thing and . |

Yes, they are great. Probably my favourite drug, and I'm sad that they're one of the harder ones to get. I don't tend to believe in taking drugs for spirituality and all that garbage, but the first few times I took shrooms it made me feel as if I'd never known myself properly prior to then. They can make you look extremely objectively at your life, cutting out all personal bias and evaluating things very sensibly. It made me make a few personal changes which bettered me.
I was expecting them to make me woozy and slow the weed does, too. The energy is amazing though, and music sounds incredible, both in the atavistic, bodily sense like ecstasy and the intellectual/mental sense too. Love all the hallucinations, the slight paranoia, the green glow that everything gives off, the "missions" you go on, the segmented, chapter-like narrative the night takes on.
Crap, now I want to get some. It's been over three years since I've had any. |

Oh yeah, and on the "feeling like a monkey" bit, I know what you mean though I wouldn't describe it that way. It's like you lose all semblance of what makes you human. At a couple of parties I had to fight the urge to take off all my clothes. Not because of any exhibitionist or arrogant reason like alcohol would make one do, but because they just seemed stupid and unnecessary. You're also perfectly happy to roll around in the dirt or do anything like that. They do feel amazingly "organic" and "friendly" compared with other substances. I like the way you can experience a wide range of emotions, as opposed to speed or coke which just set you to one level for the whole night.
That reminds me, I wrote a university essay about taking shrooms for this stupid class in 2009. I don't think the teacher was impressed, but I got 70% or something anyway. :stongue: |

Btw, you live in melbourne right? Want me to PM you next time there's a rave on? I assume you didn't hear about sub bass (dnb/dubstep) that was on friday? They tend to be either dnb/dubstep or psy. |

| Yeh, the green glow (I wouldn't really call it a glow, more a tinge, but maybe you see something different) tends to be at medium doses I found... at even higher you get this weird red/green border around stuff that makes it look like you're watching something without those red green 3d glasses. It's pretty ing weird. |
