Is BART going to be open past later hours? The Afterparty ends at 2 AM, and BART is usually closed by then on Saturday nights. |
No (they never do) |

I doubt it. I don't think it's standard practice at all. |
This is a VERY good point...BART will not be running after the event unless the do a special service. Which means taking a taxi back to the city. |

As we are officially 1 week out, (and I was up early and bored this morning) I started putting together a list of events that I have found.
Folsom St. Fair is also that weekend so some of the venues are catering towards that event rather than LE. Obviously (and most hopefully) this is not a complete list so PLEASE add on anything else.
Still looking for a UG for Saturday and thus far no mention of anything at 525 for Saturday night.

Brad, i'm legitimately shocked that there is like no buzz revolving LovEvolution. i'm still confident that a sunny 75 degree day, aibeit in OakLand, only 15min away from SF with 15-20 stages of electronic music will be great and i'm happy its not all ages.
For Friday, the best show out there is probably Lee Burridge @ the End Up...always hear that party is nuts, though I think some may prefer Bart B More @ Ruby. Saturday, I'm probably going to check out Mighty for the Plump DJs or Jelo @ Project 1.
I really wish there was a solid gold party or Sharam was in town, but i guess it's just not in the cards this year.
PM me and we can talk logistics re: pre-gaming/brunch/lunch before heading over to Oakland

People associate the greatness of the event with the city of San Francisco, maybe?
Most of the people I know didn't have any interest once it was announced it wasn't in the city....didn't matter beyond that. Oh yeah, and it's not just $10 to get in this year, either. If it goes well this year, then I expect their interest to return for it next year even if it's back in Oakland. Have to prove to them that the change in location, the removal of the parade, and charging full entry fees haven't changed the vibe the event brings.
But who knows - with today's EDM culture, I wouldn't be shocked if a ton of people showed up. |

I do think they meant the other way around.
AM Only did, in fact, have Laidback Luke listed for both Oracle Arena in Oakland and Ruby Skye in SF for Sept 24. The Ruby Skye date was added sometime in the last week and well after when they posted he was playing in Oakland.
Don't see how them posting that constitutes a "rumor." That's far more substantial than a rumor. They documented the date on their site. It wasn't someone starting gossip.
Anyhow, AM Only has now removed him playing at Ruby Skye. So I guess it was either a mistake or someone got upset over it.
Don't shoot the messenger. |
Of course, DaveT was right. http://www.ticketweb.com/t3/sale/Sa...=innercircleent
Way to go Skills for trying shoot down the "rumor" of LBL playing at RS the same night as the LovEv. I suppose it was just business trying prevent people from knowing that LBL would be playing later on the same night so that you can sell more LovEv Afterparty tickets, but it's kind of petty, IMO. You already have my money for the AP and I'll have a great time, but it would be great if you would be honest about things and let people just choose for themselves instead of making a point of coming on to a forum just to spread subterfuge. I admit that I may not know everything that is going on behind the scenes so please feel free to correct me. |

Will do, Lance.
So much of my excitement from year to year is predicated on planning the weekend and getting jazzed for each event.
Kinda hard when you have no idea on who is playing where until a week or so out. The whole Oakland thing too, but I have always said we are going and having a blast no matter what.
LE / Skills probably hasn't wanted to release the "Love Week" calander so that more people would be driven to the AP.
My thoughts exactly about Friday. Jelo @ Project 1 sounds good to me too!
- PM on way shortly.
