That's a no-no. At least while you're cooking it you want to use as little salt as possible because it absorbs moisture. Less salt=more juices.

Yeah, I was meant right after being cooked. Also by lots of salt I am talking enough to lightly cover the surface.

Ahh I see. I prefer to season my steaks before cooking. A nice dry rub usually does pretty well for adding the right amount of flavor. I rarely spice the meat after it's done, so usually it goes straight from being cooked to the plate. Any kind of sauce is right out imo unless it's some kind of red wine demi, but curly hair is gay most of the time I try to avoid adding sauces to the steak to preserve its natural flavors. I also try to avoid salting meat altogether as it tends to dry it out and cover more of the natural flavor. Do you normally broil your steaks or do you cook them some other way?

I've never heard of salt drying meat. All meat has to be seasoned with a bit of salt and pepper at least. The point is to enhance the flavour, not mask it.
