This whole system need to be redesign from the top to the bottom - the way I can see it and it shouldn't be really that difficult to do this and relatively inexpensive (T1 maybe T3 on the network when everything will work out later on).

High fashion run way mostly underwear and so exclusive it blow you mind. In fact when think about it, the shows were at private homes and the runways were not standard which was weird. The models would sleep with the guys but I was not into that. But ya they fired me for some reason. Never found out why/

Lol, OK going back to our topic, what kind of web page people would/should like to see, cool and slick looking (base on javascript) or basic one so every possible person can see it and using it (base on html)??? - if it comes to sell music.

Opinions ???

Never sacrifice ease of accessability and functionality for whiz bang goodies.... After a person goes to the flash/java heavy sites enough, they get sick of the 'pretty' aspect pretty quick in my experience.

Some is good, but remember you are not 'selling' the website, you're selling your product. Make using it easily your top priority. And make the external sourced ads, if any, as unobtrusive as you feasibly can.

Yeah, seems that I used the wrong wording there. Being multi-skilled is what I meant.

Yep! Peoples attention span is really short these days. When they're looking for something in a web page, it should be found within few seconds and preferably max. 2 clicks away.

Also never forget the importance of quality content. Your visitors are looking for something that is of value to them. If your site screams "buy buy buy!", they will click away and never return.

Also unless your going to implement other payment options than paypal, you'll be very hard pressed to make enough money to cover the monthly costs of credit card / bank-payment buttons.

And as you're probably aware the traffic you'll get depends a lot on good marketing strategy (and SEO). How well are you versed in these?

To sum: It's not that difficult to get started, but to really get the ball rolling takes a whole lot of work (and time).

ok, just to put things into perspective
100 units sold brings u 5$ if you publish yourself and whatever split (i.e. 50/50 = 2,50$) if you release via someone else their label.

So now you are REALLY good and you sell 100.000 units, you need a reputable label for that, you arranged the 50/50 split
you earn 2.500$ gross (1.800 nett)... can you spit out 10 100K tracks a year? you're at Deadmau5 level then. REALLYYYYYYY GOOOOOOOD you even make 50K$ gross (35K$ nett) per year on your own label. peanuts...... You need to gig.
Seriously you can make more money being a "clicks" or "likes" whore

There is NO MONEY in music sales for you and me..... you need to gig.
Do the maths what you earn on a platinum album.
