It's amazing having a mechanic you can trust. I was talking to an independent mechanic who works on-call with local Lexus dealers as a specialist for any sort of locking or ignition cylinder problems. A job he quoted for $250 on some guy's IS350, including parts and labour, ended up being charged $850 by the guys at the dealer. |
I know I pay more by going to the dealership, but I accounted for that when I bought my car. It's all just throwing money down the tubes in the end....I just feel better about going there. Plus I like the complimentary car washes, lolol. They even cleaned my floor mats and wiped down my interior today. :) |

Yea, but you don't know where the windshield wiper fluid tank is, which I'd venture to say is actually worse than not knowing where the oil reservoir is.
Your oil pan is below the car and your wipers are, well, right there.
So which fluid is harder to trace to its roots?
And who does preventative maintenance in the dark?
Oh yea, women who don't know what they're doing. Or maybe women who have boyfriends with fetishes. Beats me. |

| What? Stop trying so hard. Silly faggot. |

Seems like you're the one trying hard.
If you turned the lights on maybe you'd see that symbol... you know, the windshield and wipers.
Just admit you're stupid when it comes to cars - geezus.

Trying hard at what? I never claimed to be a car expert, ever, you ing moron. When I intially posted about the windshield fluid incident I already pointed out how/why I made the error.
Now off already. |

I don't pretend to know a lot about cars, but I'm not totally stupid either. |
Smart people don't work on their cars in the dark.
If they do, they know enough about the damn thing to avoid putting windshield wiper fluid in the coolant tank. |

Aren't you the one that put the coolant in the oil reservoir?
:p |
LOL, my colleague (who's from Aruba) put oil in the brake fluid reservoir last year :) We laughed a lot about that when he asked for a hose ... and later had to explain it to some guys of the garages to fix it.
Okay, half the problem was because it was a Ford which is more dead then alive anyways :) |

How is that even possible? :stongue:
Brake fluid reservoirs are tiny in comparison to anything else you'd be filling up :o |

So don't say you're not totally stupid when it comes to cars, because you are.
Smart people know when to just take the L and move on.
Your one of those special gals, though, aren't ya? |
