It is an album.

It's not worth an entire thread where you throw a bitch fit because you find it to be bad. That's silly and ing useless.
rubez
are there any instrumental tracks on this?
netroM
Well... there's Motherboard, and I guess Contact (small sample in the start from some guy talking about a UFO).
Giorgio by Moroder just has talking in the start, but other than that it's instrumental.

Are you ing retarded?
srussell0018
Why do you ask that? It is a bad way of living to only talk about things that you like and never express your dislike for anything.
Rodri Santos
i dislike you. I feel better now

i knew prior to the release that they had secured omar hakim and nile rodgers so it really is not some sort anger that they didn't make discovery 2.0. I just couln't believe that with the talent they hired, they managed to churn out such a lifeless dull turd. This is why people hire producers. There is a reason even the best musicians still hire a producer to over see things and let people know when things are veering off course. And this album is just really disappointing.

The people thinking it is good are the same people that tought there sound track to tron was good. It wasn't. It was panned by pretty much every composer out there as 2 guys that just don't really know what they are doing trying to do something without getting the help required. And that was after they had a little one on one with HZ because they were completely lost and out of their element.

they really needed a bit more help with this one. It is actually funny that their programmed music actually grooves better than this one but i guess they sampled records of good musicians playing good music. You really have to things up to get such lifeless performances from such great musicians. And that is the producers job and they didn't have one.

The marketing broadside for this record is so intense and ubiquitous it's understandable that people would get irritated about the album being sub-par. But then, L4C does love to wheel out the "There's 40 years of funk records that do this better" line at any opportunity, no matter how tenuous. Last time he did it in a Nightmares On Wax thread, and when someone asked him to post examples he gave them The Prodigy - 3 Kilos.

You realize that you can't objectively call either album "good" or "bad" right? The entirety of this thread in summation would essentially be "L4C doesn't like the new Daft Punk album, and let him tell you why."
