When the did I imply that I only talk about things that I like? Because I wouldn't start a thread on a forum about an album I don't? ing geniuses.

But then, L4C does love to wheel out the "There's 40 years of funk records that do this better" line at any opportunity, no matter how tenuous. Last time he did it in a Nightmares On Wax thread, and when someone asked him to post examples he gave them The Prodigy - 3 Kilos.

as a downtempo track from a specified period specified by the OP you . They didn't ask for music from the 70s. And i did mention why it was good and named the ing drummer and track they sampled which was from the 70s. Not really sure what your point was.

So all threads in MD have to be about liking music? Nobody is ever allowed to start a thread about something they don't like?

I don't see why you're calling someone retarded for questioning you making the claim that you have to be some sad pathetic sap to start a thread about something you don't like.

which nobody seems to be abe to counter. I listed specific reasons why i thought it just was a disappointment. NOt sure why it is so hard for people to explain without just saying i['m wrong or don't know anything. If you are going to argue, at least say something.

Why do I even continue reading this forum?

i mean how can you say listen to

and then listen to daft punk's attempt and not wonder what the happened to music. I mean everything is just really really vanilla. The bass and drums were obviously recorded at different times because they just don't ing work. I think that is probably the reason it sounds so cold. They had great players but not together and daft punk aren't exactly known for their arranging. The album could actually been really good. They just needed someone to give them some help.

I'm not saying you're wrong I'm saying I like the album and disagree with you callin it "bad." I don't really need to explain why. I like it and you don't.

thats fine. LIke what you want. This is about me. I mean you are the same as say those that think hanz zimmer does great classical music.

That's an interesting interpretation of events. Because as I remember it, Mark posted a NOW track, you said "i think you will find similar but better stuff done by actual bands that do this", Mark asked "Who do you like now that is doing it better?" and because you don't actually know a damn thing about trip-hop or downtempo you responded with a Prodigy track from 1994 and a Sly & The Family Stone track from the '70s. Keep educating the masses, brother.

My point is you have a habit of taking any tenuous excuse to imply people don't know anything about "actual bands" who play actual music with actual instruments, even when it's hilariously irrelevant. Which goes back to the original question someone asked as to why you posted this thread: it could be because you're annoyed at the over-exposure and hype of a mediocre record, or it could be because you're an egotistical cock-stain who tries to belittle people about musical knowledge whenever you can. Because you're a top Hollywood film score dog, and that's just how you guys like to kill time, natch.

Giorgio by Moroder just has talking in the start, but other than that it's instrumental.

both are great tracks but i get the sense that they don't fit the album as much. i removed them from my playlist and kept the funkier tracks and it sounds so cohesive its scary

one track to meet his requirements, and then something extra to perhaps gear him to an era with something he might like. I think you read into things more than you should. I mean you do tend to invent conspiracies that just aren't there.
