Despite announcing the new guidelines under the banner "The President's Coronavirus Guidelines for America," Trump seemed to distance himself from the practices during the town hall.
"Somehow, the word got out that this is the thing we are supposed to be doing," he said, noting the country had "never done a thing like this before."
"But we had to do it. It's been very painful for our country and very destabilizing," he said. |

Breaking news: Sweden government suggest quit smoking to prepare lungs for corona. Also liquor stores now don’t open before 1200. Schools, malls and restaurants are still open and recommend to support local business though. Smart move, good luck Sweden you poor morons, how the did you allow that idiot to be prime minister another period, you are all going to die with this strategy even UK have reconsidered herd immunity as a horrible approach. Good luck to all u US TAs too, I understand media wont even cover trump anymore and rather spend time interviewing more important people instead? We have seen nothing yet, soon internet will be shut down to control the masses and then the riots start. God speed everyone. What gets me is that 3 months ago an idiot ate a bat and now the whole world is in crisis. How could we be so incredible connected and depending? ing airports should be blown up. No good comes from airports. This epidemic will get rid of the weak the sick the poor and the stupid, and the resourceful ones will survive only to inherit a world not worth keeping. What a horrible faith for human kind, destroyed by its own greed, growth and self worship. If there is such a thing called god and karma this is it. We all allowed this and deserve it. Stupid social humans. |

It is one of many possible parallel universe scenarios. It could be that it’s just a flu too. Mot sure why so many Mediterranean’s die though, global warming and refugee crisis cover up? |
It might be bc of the Jews. |

| So I now know someone in London who has tested positive; she is 34 and had pneumonia a few years ago. She started feeling symptoms a week ago, called 111 and they told her to stay home. A day later she felt extreme pressure on her chest and called an ambulance. She's been in the ICU since. Apparently it looks like she had a heart attack. Her lunges and heart are filled with water. They've given her some meds for her heart but otherwise just monitoring her while her body flushes out the virus. On a more positive note, she says the doctors and nurses are incredible. Hooray for the NHS. |

Three surgeons and two nurses on my unit at home awaiting test results. So far any presumptive patient cases on my unit confirmed negative. Woop!
Also, no positive tests for any of the staff who were exposed to the two patients who were positive (and died) at my hospital.
Test turnaround time is 7-10 days here; however, as of today we are sending samples to a private lab to expedite results (edit: 24 hours but only 25 samples per day), so that's good. |

For the 2 patients that died (and I'm sorry to hear that), can you tell us what their health conditions were like prior to being infected? Were they older? obese? lung issues?
I'm a pretty heavy smoker (my vice unfortunately) but in pretty good shape. But I'm sure my lungs would get WRECKED if I caught the virus. |

Both were in their 70s and had lots of comorbidities. Their cases were travel related, although community transmission is about 50% here now.
You should, without question, absolutely quit smoking right now. |

| Most young people aren't going to die from it but you could easily end up with permanently ed lungs (SARS v1.0 did this to people) or (if you're in the US) tens of thousands in hospital bills. So yeah, best not to get it even if the only person you give a about is yourself. |
