Sweeeeheet... *drools*
I want some e-mu cards damn it... my computer is starting to max out its CPU in fruityloops and stalling!
Going to listen to those tracks... downloads are a bit slow at the moment though, so it'll be a while
Edit: none of the first 4 links work! |

i edited them, try again...rogers+geocities = bad webhosting
the E-MU is really cheap, i got it for $117 CAD off ebay...it's strictly for recording/production though...in video games it'll do nothing that a onboard soundcard can't do...it's still pretty new, im only beginning to learn how to use the hardware accelerated effects
edit: ok NOW try it :P
couldn't direct link it I guess

Trevor that was sweet...
only thing is the pulsing bassline that kinda didnt sound quite rigght at parts...instead try having a TS404-ish kinda synth pulsing with a tad fo distortion.... (around 5:30)...might add a little extra flavour...
but then again i think ed up when it comes to producing |

Hey Liam - thanks for the review - I always find your feedback valuable. Just to clarify, are you talking about the bassline, or the bass swell sample? I'll take a look at 5:30 and try see what ya mean.
You were on a roll with your productions.. why are you feeling so discouraged? I dig your funky style, and hope to hear more from you in the future! get back to work :D |

well Trevor...heres 2 current projects that im actually quite pleased with so far:
Blue Moon
Liam & Perry Go Large <<--did this one on the weekend when maxstradamus came over and we were both quite intoxicated...
and yes theres a common factor in the 2 tracks...i know i know..its cheating but it gets the job done |

Blue Moon:
Great beat right from the beginning.. I can't tell ya how much I love this rhythmic style! Deep sub bass is awesome.
Your percs are superb.
Drum fills and lil breaks would be nice... it gets a little repetitive.
Cool change @ 2:40
Abrupt ending! this must be a sample...
Liam & Perry Go Large:
oooh.. Blue Moon beat but slowed down :D
I like it though - lots of attitude, but chilled.
Your sounds are really crispy clean - especially your percs, and I struggle a lot with that.. i like your style.
Nice use of f/x - you did a great job creating atmosphere in this toon.
Over all I'm really impressed! You've come a long way since the first tune I ever heard of yours, and you've improved TONS since your last toon alone! Liam, don't ever give up.. I dig your music. |
