Nice, it's been a while Liam! I'll certainly check this out when I get home from work tonight and post some feedback.

Keep well,

I say continue!! The break at 30 sec is really cool, and the fx in the background are great.

The bass that comes in at 45 sec could be a lil deeper, darker - more subtle...

Around 1:20 there are some clashes in the notes, I think - something sounds off and it continues until 1:45

You have some really cool ideas here - and the drums sound awesome except for the fact that they're SO quiet - but I imagine that since you just started you haven't sorted out levels yet.

Anyway, like I said before, I think you should continue with this and see what happens.

Looking forward to hearing the finished product,
Trev

I like it a lot.
The melodies are beautiful. Since the original purpose of this thread was to be able to play these tracks out and give them dancefloor exposure could I interest you in possibly allowing me the pleasure of getting the midi files (+possibly the bassline) for the two main melodies and working out a live pa remix? ;) I don't DJ but I'd be happy to play this live. I've been playing a bit harder recently and this is exactly the uplifting melodic stuff that keeps bringing me back to softer stuff. This track would be nice to throw down in the middle or end of a set to close out the room on a uplifting note. and obviously I'd give full credit where its due.

hey thanks for the feedback Trev...:D

when i was at work this morn i came up with some mods and i just cant remember what they were now for the life of me....

i think i know why u find the part at 1:20 sounding off...its cos put a drone on one of the synths manually by tapping the key and uneven intervals...i guess if i use another synth for that, it might sound better cos the other layer has a similar sounding synth.

but once again, thanks a lot for breaking it down and letting me know :)

I posted a not-so-complete version of this track a week or two ago. Now it's done (more or less).

Progressive trance. 129 BPM. 8 mins. 192kbps.

It's been improved quite a bit over the last upload... I EQed the hell out of it, the bass is nicer, the synths are the right volume, etc. Also, I added a few new melodies. Some FX too. And it's still got the same pads and bassline.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated. This is my first progressive tune, so feel free to let me know what I did wrong and what could be improved.

Also, the track needs a name. Any suggestions would be really cool.

Hey man,

Solid intro..! Your percs are nice & skippity.

Your melody runs are cool :) I love that kinda stuff

They rhythm of the main melody is kinda simple but it works! The break @ 5:12 is sweet.

I'm not a big fan of your choice in open hi-hat. Not that it's bad, but just that the sample is very standard.. heard it a few too many times before.

Overall, a really nice & chilled prog trancer! I like your style - keep up the fine work,
Trev

Thanks for the comments. meh about the hihat. It's... umm... classic. :toothless:

Any idea what to name this track? What kind of imagery does it generate?

Hi,

It's Halloween so I thought I'd scare, I mean share a new toon with all y'all ... HA HA HA HA -- I'm sorry :(

Anyway, it's fresh melodic prog with a side of funk

And now for something completely different... I know many will thumb their noses at this one, and that's fine - many others also enjoy a change of pace once in a while. ;)

Anyway, as of late I've been wanting to make more vocal tracks and I've also been wanting to do something downtempo, which converged into the trip-hop genre for me. There are a lot of ambient and trippy elements in here; people who don't listen to a lot of electronic chillout may also decide that it's leaning a little on the side of hip-hop. Personally, I'm fine with either category!

Without further ado, here it is:

Aigis - Baby Don't Cry (ft. 2Pac)

As always, I welcome any feedback from the community. Hope you enjoy!

P.S. For the hardcore club-music fanatics, don't worry, there are more house and breaks tracks on the way, this was merely a diversion. ;)
