It's better... I think the build-up is just a little bit too tame... I mean you've got a 2 minute breakdown, which feels very long and never really grows into much of anything... or perhaps grows too slowly to maintain my interest. You need to make the melody bigger or more complex and make it happen faster. I really like the first 3 minutes of the track though.

good observations :) I modified the track accordingly: http://fiasko.madtracker.net/azimuth.MP3

It's better... but I think there's something clashing in the melody... you know that instrument that comes in at about 2:04? It just doesn't sound right, and especially at a little past 5 mins when it comes back... it clashes with the melody just a little bit.

I tweaked that sound. it shouldn't collide with the rest now. 5:00 melody is better now.

It's better! Good stuff!

Here's another >suspicious tune< Made from leftovers from the previous attempt :D

Here's the latest project I've been working on:

Aigis - Off The Wreckord (right-click, save as)

This is more of a funky breaks tune, probably not quite as elegantly put together as the Closer Now remix, but fun nonetheless. It's very melodic as well so some of the trancers might like it too (it is not actually trancey though).

Comments, sugestions, and feedback in general are always appreciated. Thanks for listening!

Haha, I know, I guess that track set the bar pretty friggin' high, that's what sucks about having a popular tune. :p But then again, I did spend over a month on it, remixes are easier to make than original works, and vocal tracks in general will stand out more than instrumental ones. I hope people don't compare all my tracks to that one!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it in general though. I might try some more vocal tracks/remixes in the future, although I think for the next little while I'm just going to be taking a break...

Any suggestions in particular? I'm not officially calling it "finished" yet (there's no deadline for it :p), so I'm open to ideas.

yea about those samples, instead of having htem popup randomlyhere adn there, and have it jsut isntrumental for the rest of the track, i would pick one of those samples to used every now and then in the track...

I posted this in the production forum but here it is here in case some of you guys don't check it... a weird, kinda old-schoolish track that I'm still working on.

I've never really done anything this progressive before (and it's still quite melodic), but I think it's pretty nice. I essentially built this thing around the pads and bassline with some more-or-less unusual percussion.

I think the first few minutes sound pretty massive.

So right now this thing doesn't have any effects, hasn't really been mastered very well, and the ending needs fixing, but I was hoping to get a little bit of feedback on the bass, the percussion, the pads, and the overall structure/feel of the track. I'm considering bumbing the tempo up by a few BPM as well...
