Read it again, it's her mom's ex-husband commenting on the situation - not that the daughter was dating him. |

What club was this??
Film? |
I had no idea film lounge was an after hours. I'd love to go there one night.
I find it amazing how they wont release the name of the club (which is a good thing) but considering how the normally release the name of the club during other mishaps, I find it a bit surprising |

| Damn that's really sad, this could have easily been someone i know. I'd like to see a toxicology report myself though. |

Music is my ONLY drug. Like Form&Funktion said, it's really upsetting to see these kids taking drugs just to enjoy the music. Ever since i started listening to EDM some five or six years ago, i've never needed any kind of substances to enjoy what i'm hearing. I would have to admit i know ppl that became better ppl after being introduced to EDM. It's unfortunate this girl had to fall under the typical stereotype of ODing on "xtc" while attending an after-hours clubs.
see, drugs don't kill ppl, stupid ppl that sell fake drugs that kills ppl kill ppl! |

No I meant to say that her friends should have contacted help sooner rather than seeing their friend dieing in front of them and not calling for help.

Also true...but like I said it was just my personal decision :D |

What the hell club is at Dundas and Spadina??
People are quick to blame the drugs, but you have to look to the person consuming.
It's like blaming a shooting on the gun, and not the shooter.
Regardless, this is very tragic. But take a second to think of the human life actually lost rather than what this could do to our "scene." |

hey, she refused their help. Under canadian laws, u would have to wait till she's unconcious or else u might get sued. U can ask someone if they need help, once they say no, all u can do is sit there and watch them die till they pass out (or die) then u can help them. I was told that in CPR training. |

well then you have some pretty ty friends.
I would expect all my friends to actually care about me enough to stop me from making mistakes like that.
And the reason her friends are accountable is the fact that they should have taken her to a hospital immediately and not driven all the way to Georgetown, wtf?!
I regret very much that this happened to this girl and hopefully her friends can get over the loss.
But I would like to comment about the article, it seems like it was written by a 5th grader. It totally sucks :) . |

Well...yeah I guess that's true...but you rater be sued or live with the feeling that you could have but you didn't...(help) and now your friend is dead...
Seems to me they were just afraid and trying to hide the fact they took drugs, nothing more.
Many people are hurt and out of stupidity say they don't need help...lol I've done that before myself. But sometimes you need to be smart and make the decision yourself.
*EDIT*
Year really..Georgetown...WTF was that indeed?!? |
