People are quick to blame the drugs, but you have to look to the person consuming.
It's like blaming a shooting on the gun, and not the shooter.
Regardless, this is very tragic. But take a second to think of the human life actually lost rather than what this could do to our "scene." |
as mentioned, sounds like Film Lounge? It's on Dundas, East of Spadina...
it would be nice if they'd highlight in their report that someone died after taking what they THOUGHT was E...there is still little evidence, if any, that anyone has died from taking MDMA or even MDMA mixed with crap like speed, k, etc. |

you may have been told that in training but if you remember correctly, its only the people that administer First Aid fall in that category. If they would have brought her to the hospital then she wouldn't be allowed to refuse help and actually it would be against the law for the paramedics not to help her. Plus she was unconscious in the back seat vomiting all over herself. I can't see a person in that state being in the right mind to refuse help.
The "friends" were just scared to go to the hospital because of drug use. I mean the girl wanted to be a drug councillor. |

the friends were probably confused, scared, high...nevermind they're young and probably did not forsee at ALL what happened.
What is a 19 year olds experience with drug overdoses or bad reactions? Probably none.
Harm prevention education probably would have saved the girl's life. |

hey, she refused their help. Under canadian laws, u would have to wait till she's unconcious or else u might get sued. U can ask someone if they need help, once they say no, all u can do is sit there and watch them die till they pass out (or die) then u can help them. I was told that in CPR training. |
you are way off on this one, you can't get sued for calling 911, which it seems they should have done hours before. But you do need permission to work on a consious victim yourself. |

| Nobody knows what it was (for sure) that she took - it is too early to know - so it is pointless to make claims that being more educated/safer would have saved her life or thinking her actions ruined "our" scene. Just accept the fact that it is pretty damn depressing that she went out this way and leave it at that. |

there's no such thing as taking drugs responsibly, the only thing you can be responsible for are the consequences if something happens. but that's just MY opinion.
I wonder if her parents knew that she was gonna go out with friends to get high that night. I don't understand how her father could blame the club. If anything it's his own daughter and her friends who should be held accountable. That's like me street racing and killing myself or someone else and then blaming the car manufacturer. Rediculous.
