The largest study of its kind has unexpectedly concluded that smoking marijuana, even regularly and heavily, does not lead to lung cancer.
The new findings "were against our expectations," said Donald Tashkin of the University of California at Los Angeles, a pulmonologist who has studied marijuana for 30 years.

very interesting...
this should shut up a few people who were quoting earlier studies that suggested pot was carcinogenic. |

Yup this is the most thorough and controlled test yet, and in that article it also says that smoking marijuana seems to have a protective effect against lung cancer.

i love the fact that this study aquired totally different evidence than the other such studies.
