I've been in this predicament many times. I got to the point where I tried to spot potential hookups around some of Brockville's less-than-fine establishments. After mustering up the courage to just blurt out the question to someone the dude gave me a flat out "no" (to this day I KNOW he was lying, but I think he actually was paranoid about me), and then I asked "do you know where I might find some" and again he said "no". I had to go back to waiting until I see buddies from home to hook me up. Now all of a sudden I've met 3 or 4 well stocked players.
SOOO, my story doesn't have a happy ending, but I got the idea from another friend who did that exact thing in a park in Montreal and ended up finding a guy who actually runs a home delivery business for most things you might want.
So, my point, maybe try to find a place where like minded individuals are hanging out (maybe a local watering hole), and casually elude to it with someone at the bar. I know...easier said than done... but it's an idea. |
