As a dedicated Guv noob I have to agree with Jayx here.
You think that is crowded? No, Front row at a Linkin Park or Metallica concert is crowded. Try struggling and gasping for each breath while the person to either side of you has their elbow stuck under your rib-cage... then come talk to me. Besides, Mauro Picotto was more packed than Sunday was. However, that being said. I can understand someone who loves to really break it down and bust a move being dissapointed at the ammount of people in the Guv. But, being the experienced Guv patron that you are... you should be expecting this, and decide to A) Not go or B) Shut up and try to make the best of it
I found plenty of room to dance (I still wish I hadn't lost the spot I had during IM... omg that was fun), just had to walk around a bit to find it. This was my best event so far. The crowd was nuts, the people I met were great, the atmosphere was amazing. See you on the 16th for Marco V!
I feel so spoiled, 3 of my top 5 all within a week... Oaky commin around any time soon? ;) |

i really love to bust a move, and even more i like to break it down. i was not dissapointed, i knew what is going to happen so i knew i'll be all night in orange room. so i made a good night out of it, just wanted to say that so many people packed in guv sucks, armin or sander or even tiesto.
but dont u agree that nights like that are not fun anymore? unable to move, let alone dance.
some people say "its all about music". well i dont agree with that, music is probably around 70% and the rest would be : 20% ladies (maybe ill sound sexist `or something but i think that even girls will agree it looks much more better when there is lots of girl in the club, swordfighting SUCKS, i dont wanna see 15 ginos giving each other back massages, and 30 more doing those disturbing "light shows" or whatever, AND 2 or 3 girl in that sea of grease, spiked hair, sunglases, not wearing shirts ..... u get the picture), 10% vibe (lots of weird people makes me paranoid).

I was just started watching a video that was taken from a friends camera of Armin while spinning Jump the next train and I'm in almost the whole thing. It's 2mins long !!
This is going to be burned onto disc and put in a safe !!

I went on the Toronto subway for the first time (on the way back to the hotel from guv), I was pretty excited about that !
What a great night !! At first I was not into IM's set, but after about half an hour I was loving it !! It was very different compared to what I usually listen to. I had no idea the violin performance was live until the end, too bad I missed it. What impressed me more about IM was the fact that they were out busting a move for most of Mark Olivers set !!! They definitly know how to party!! We talked about music, and how they are very down to earth. Then I shared some gum with them, and made my way back to the front.
I liked Armins set a lot, I loved the fact that it didn't sound too much like ASOT. I wish he would spin as long as DT does, OMG I would freak out !!! He just amazes me, every single time I see him. At one point I was saying to other TA's "Wow can you believe this, this is crazy !!"

The crowd was awesome as always ! It was nice to meet moneyman, playa24_7, raveed, cono_sur, sgtfoo, J and trancechaos. Samhouse and Lauren, you are too much fun !!! I finally met Funkyfun, and had an amazing time with adi :D. Tordan, you are such a trooper to come to the guv right from the airport !
The only bad thing about my weekend was the drive back to Ottawa, yuck !!!

W3RD!!... I went to see System of A Down 2 years ago at Kool Haus and it was rammed! (the novermber show i think)... but once the place got rowdy... the moshpit swallows about 1/4 of the ppl so u end up with spots to jump around near the mid-section of the place.... Rock concerts are way more crowded just b/c of the mosh-pits. |

I can tell who is a TA and who isn't, you can tell if someone knows the music. Sometimes I am wrong, but not very often. I also could tell by your shirt! There is a pretty good chance that someone with an Armin shirt is a TA. |
