| They had a similar thing at the Docks, during Armin's Canadian debut back in 2001. I really liked that spaceman on the center platform, he was very surreal in the context of the environment. |

IM was awesome. Graham was utter . AVB started off no better than Graham, but just when i was starting to worry, finally pulled through. Great night, but they should have had AVB play right after IM. Good meeting all of you guys!
P.S. Someone mentioned the violin guy... that wasn't him you heard. His violin wasn't even hooked up to anything. But the act was still awesome!
P.P.S. I can't believe i missed Silence! When did he drop that? |

Sick night!
I loved the energy IM brought with them! Quite a show they pulled off. Graham was pretty good, i enjoyed his set. Armin manage to prove his skills! Too bad i was already dieing when he came up! Didnt pop or anything, just decided to go completly stoned out of my mind =/ did pretty good, all i could concentrate was on the musik, ended up dancing for 6 hours straight :eyes: Done for the night lol
The violin act did blow my mind, it was fukin awsome!! NEver saw anything like it, wished i had it on tape. And the astronaute was pretty cool too, tripped me out real good! Too bad the place was packed and couldnt find anywhere to dance.
Didnt get the chance to meet at TAs, which is a shame but there will be other parties!
:happy2:
My brain still kinda friend... took me way too long to type this  |

Did you hear all of Graham, or just the part when the sound system didn't work. How about when AvB was "no better than Graham", are you speaking of the start of his set while the guv was working on getting the sound fixed and all you could hear was muffled bass and distorted high notes? And when Armin "finally pulled through" is that at the same time sound was fixed?
P.S Classical instuments work without electrical hook up and there are other wireless ways of amplifying the sound. Also, I had a clear view of the violin player and I do believe the bow was moving across the strings. If he was faking, he was doing a good job of not letting the bow create any sounds when moving along those strings.
P.P.S How could you miss one of the best parts of the night? |

With the beginning of Armin's set, i'm pretty sure sound quality was the problem. I remember hearing a bit of some song i liked and thinking 'what the HELL did he do to it?!' Good thing they fixed it, but that really, really shouldn't have happened in the first place! Max was just boring though. I don't think i heard a single decent track, but to be fair, after the first hour of his set, i went to the patio. That was the 'good' hour though, wasn't it?
About the violin... take my word for it, it was pre-recorded. He was doing a good job, and the bow was actually moving across the strings in sync with the music. But that's because he practiced this dozens of times with the same track earlier. The actual sound was coming out of the speakers though. |
