someone say bowl ? :D

Funkyfun
Had a blast lat nite...IM were hard as expected and were blasting away when me n my buddies got in....Those hard pounding beats got me grooving from the start...Max then took over from IM....started slow as has been mentioned but then ripped it...His set wasn't bad by anymeans imo...specially the 'Seven nation Army' drop and the later half of his set was a killer...Then came the class act of the night Mr Van buuren....what an amazing set he throwed down....Super tunes one after another...Tune of the night for me was 'Katana - In Silence (Txitxarro remix) :eyes: ....His set this time round in Toronto was def much harder than before...The initial sound system screw was scary as Armin started pointing towards the regular DJ booth, and for a bit I got the feeling that they might move him up which would have been a disaster...But luckily all went well after that point...Big thanks to Max as well for helping Armin out to his fullest

Armin was all smiles as usual and his interaction with crowd was amazing...It was simply a breathtaking performance and I got my money's worth...One thing that I noticed was the screwed up set timings on the giant screen outside...Armin according to the screen was supposed to close the night which got me even more excited as i thougt my prayers to catch armin spinning longer than 3 hr were answered...But was left dissapointed when he came off at 6.30...Mark started off really well with that classic 'extacy' track and kept on dropping classic tracks....stayed till 7.25 and then headed home...It was a pleasure meeting and partying with Partegurl, DancingQueen, Samhouse & Tully

Some tracks i remember from last night

Synergy - Hello Strings
P. Diddy - Let's Get Ill [Armin Van Burren Mix]
Lolo - Why
Armin Van burren - Communication 3

Armin vs. M.I.K.E. - Intruder
Signum - The Timelord

Holden & Thompson - Nothing (93 Returning Mix)

from reading all of these posts, I feel like I was there - from the pics - looks like it was as full as Tatgirl said it was. Part of the Reasoning 4 me not being there on the dancefloor - NO ROOM TO DANCE!

have a good one:D

was such an incredible night. i enjoyed every set. got infected all over again. max graham, although definitely slowed the night down, was good. and i certainly needed that by then (3rd nite in a row, with only 5 hrs sleep total). armin as always was amazing. signed a pic from the boat cruise, which is currently getting framed as part of a wedding present for jenn and terry (ex TOTAs now FLTAs)

there was a mistake on the outdoor iternary board. i was expecting armin to close. however i was glad mark o came on. don't get me wrong. i love armin, but for guv anniversary, it didn't seem right NOT to have mark o on at least for a bit. to me, he is a HUGE part of guvernment. i don't know how i did it. my body was falling apart and i could have fallen asleep right there, but he kept me going till the last song.

as for the music up, i'm not 100% sure this was the cause, but at the end of graham set/beginning of armins, some guy at the front pulled that front box off the dj booth, and something came loose (same kid who hrs early told a bouncer he was so fuct .... don't they kick these ppl out???)

oh and love the violin

happy anniversary/thanksgiving/columbus day

congrats J & T

Kenneth Thomas, whom I've never heard before and whom played some great tunes (jump the train) and classics (open your eyes) in the warm up was nice.

Infected Mushroom was psy-nice.

Max Graham shook my hand, played a "Lonely Hearts" remix - all which was nice.

Armin van Buuren shook my hand, played "Communication 04", "Enmass - CQ" and "Matt Deekay & Austin Leeds - Taurus" - all which was very nice (but not as nice as I expected).

Crowd was pushy, rude and overly-buggered which was ~not~ nice.

Crap I didnt see that there was a TO section in here.. :wtf:

Dont know how many Torontonians went to the Guvernment for their 8th Anniversary Thanksgiving bash, but man I had a blast.

When I got their around 12am on Sunday, Infected Mushrooms had just come on and the floor was packed. The music was killer. I had never been to the Guv, since I went there from Ottawa.
Then Max Graham came on, and then at 3:30am Armin came on. MYYY GOD! it was amazing, the crowd went wild when he came on. The floor was soo packed by that point you couldnt even make it to the washrooms!
It was the most amazing time I've ever had on any weekend or at any club. A big star like that only a few feet away from me? WOW!

KICK ASS fun man, the music was simply amazing, I was indeed in a "State of Trance"

Ok i was just messed. PartEgurl nice to meet you, all i can say was Armin put on a better set than i expected but i was disappointed that he didnt play very many known tracks. I would have loved to hear NO ONE ON EARTH, or a few other of his killer tunes. Non the less that party was ridiculous, teh live fiddler, INFECTED MUSHROOM, great night, and just the right amount of people. Did anyone else see mark oliver get pissed at someone off the the side of the stage just as his set started? what was that all about. anyway graet night and ill prolly be up there for MARCO V

DeE420
did anyone get a picture of that crazy violin guy?
moneyman
I got some pics and some video of him, and aside from that i have some killer pics and video of the entire night. ill get them up somewhere and post a link for you all. ONe of the bests nights this year. LOL was prolly just a little bit better, but im still feeling the vibe from ARMIN, maybe it was the people i was with,.
