Wow great party, AVB was rocking the place, full of high energy tunes...
What was the problem for the first couple of mintues when AVB came out, its was mostly bass, something was messed up... But 15-20 minutes later it was all fine...
Shout out to the TA's which I saw last night...

Drove up to toronto with adityaindian, myway and the newly converted from hip hop gangsta to tranceaddict - Stuntman. Reached the club around 1230 and was lucky to catch atleast an hour of Infected Mushroom. First time seeing them and they did not disappoint especially Duvdev, the man's got some serious energy and i dont think he heard about the recent no smoking indoor rule in toronto . The guy with the violin was just insane ...kudos to the guvernment for bringing him in. Max Graham was ok but he should have come on before IM cuz even though he dropped some quality tunes, they didnt have the nrg that IM and AVB spin.
As for Armin well, ive heard him spin better. His set was decent but a large part of it lacked the tradermark hands in the air stuff that is usually standard of him but ofcourse he makes up for it with his interaction with the crowd.
Mark Oliver was good as usual. A lot of classics. Art of Trance - Madagascar was the highlight track from his set IMO.
The club was packed when we got in but after Infected, the crowd started to decrease. I thought the vibe was fantastic and the crowd was gr8 barring this one israeli dude who smacked me right in the face with 5 glowsticks and didnt even apologise . Met up with a lotta cool ppl and TA's. PartEgurl , WalterMindz and a couple of other whose names i forget(sorry bout that). It was gr8 partying with you guys and I hope to c u again at Tiesto in Montreal.
Next stop Armin@Glow oct 30. |

the 15-20 ppl i knew there ALL loved your set and wondered
where u came from. you made a lotta fans man, congrats!
IM were good, just not my style anymore.
Max was real good i thought. just the right energy to tune
me up for armin....
and Armin..... HO-LY !:eek: :nervous: :eyes:
i know most people who are trance fans were prolly disappointed
that Armin didnt spin his usual set, but he IN TORE UP:eyespop:
with the sound CRANKED above normal, he spun harder than i've
EVER seen him before (and this was my 11th).
still threw in the occasional trance beauty, but predominantly
bangin progressive, that kept EVERYONE dancin right till the end of his set - i'm still in disbelief how hard he was....
also, this set showed how versatile a dj Armin really is.
from dirty/darker progressive, to trance, to some techno,
to even PROGRESSIVE HOUSE!
of all the times i've seen Armin, hes NEVER spun any prog house.
Q: does anyone know the prog-house track Armin mixed with/into
holden & thompson - nothing 93?
have heard it be4 somewhere but not sure where.
and i gotta say it sounded unbelievable....
all in all, this night showed me once again
that there IS NO OTHER - Armin is undisputedly the BEST dj
on the planet:toocool:
from the energy he displays , to the music, to his personable
attitude, NO ONE can do what Armin does.
He really is the chosen One:D |

was a great show...i was booked to close which really sounded like a good fit but mark felt it unfair as it was the anniversary. fair enough hes done so much for the club and the scene in toronto he deserves to have the slot he wants, i heard he rocked it so :)
i dont think anything i played could have kept the energy level of 145 bpm psy-trance that infected mushroom dished out so well so i tried to just change it up and have fun. which i did despite the sound problems.
