Sorry pal but Global Underground 13 is progressive trance, though it does certainly have prog house elements in it.

well you could say he was "prog trance" back in 1999 and before, like his GU 013 cd, but still its just labelling him.. what is prog trance for one person, could be prog house for someone else, it's such an endless discussion.. :)

C'mon guys give it a rest, this flame war is ridiculous, speaking for myself I got into dance music to enjoy and have fun not rip apart someone elses likeing or dislike...GIVE IT A REST

i'm sorry there is nothing wrong with voicing your opinions, don't tell people to stop criticising each other.

also as for labelling things, it's just part of western civ.
we're a society based on rationalism- we like to be able to make sense out of everything and put labels on everything

I agree nothing wrong with voicing an opinion and leaving it at that but attacking a person as soon as they post just for the sake of feeling like "the bigger man" is wrong so give it a rest like I said before

does it even matter what's what? i mean, all these genre labels do is creating a hostile environment. there's hostility towards a certain genre, towards artists who are categorised in that particular genre, towards people who enjoy a certain genre, etc.

all i have to say is: listen to what you feel like. clear your mind, forget about genres, don't care about what other people enjoy. the music itself is all that matters.

finally! ive waited for someone to take a stand against this pos stuff.

If the producer sucks, then wouldn't the listener suck too? Think about it.

Have you noticed that all this bitching and negativity only started here on TA when the Global Underground message board was shut down (which by the way was nothing but Sasha and Digweed ass kissers and slagging everything else).

Someone please start that board up again so these poor helpless progheads can have a place to bitch and moan again.

speedracer_mec
Fact is

Derek howell, Shiloh, Digital Witchcraft, Habersham, Wrecked Angle who are real progressive breaks dj's should NEVER EVER EVER EVER send their tunes to Markus S.

They will fall victims of the over-cheesey McProg Transformation Movement

Yes, I only listen to prog house. This is about what is a quality production and what is not.
