True, but in his case the quality of his productions and remixes remains - most of the times - of a very high level, regerdless of the hyping. I think his tracks being overplayed is actually just the consequence of them being so good, rather than the name Chable or the label they appear on. Which can IMO not be said about the great part of McProg artists...
And I got Steve May - Open day (Luke Chable's quakes & craters remix) on right now, most likely followed by his remix for Gwill Morris' Time, and after that The Shepherd. Three completely different productions, all showing his talent IMO! :) |

This thread STILL hasn't died? Let the people who like ASOT enjoy listening right now while those who don't listen to Sasha or Holden or whatever else. There's enough room on TA for a number of different subgenres to coexist, though maybe not as easily as if there were forums for each one, but still.
About 400+ posts the only thing that's been accomplished is maybe a few people put out suggestions of what they like instead of "McProg" and some McProggers will check it out and add to their tastes or change a bit, but the vast majority of posts simply denouncing it does little. If people actually change their minds and don't like something just because others say it's not cool anymore is just as lame as liking something only because it's popular.
I personally like a number of different subgenres of EDM and will keep it that way. This includes some McProg songs, which I treat like when McDonald's has 49 cent cheeseburger days, it's simple and great for the first 4 or 5, then you take a break when you're full. |

It needs to. Seems TA is short a few active mods in these sections. |

So for those of you folks who hate what they are hearing on GDJB/ASOT, why aren't you folks promoting other weekly shows? Why don't I see weekly threads for other artists you folks feel are contributing in a positive manner to trance music/EDM in general? |
Cause I've been freaked out forever from internet radio after being involved in a project that resulted in a complete fiasco, and because i feel the massive overhyping of weekly radio shows does more harm than good.
| quote: | | II mean, it's easy to say something is better or worse, but what about actually showing us what sounds good to you? Then the rest of us can see the difference, and make up our own minds. If that music is truly better, then shows such as these will only make your case stronger. |
Check the link in my sig, there's plenty of recommendations in there, and you'll find most of the people that don't like what armin or markus is playing ocasionally praise their favourite tracks here and there. |
