Markus needs to get hit by a truck, and have TigerClaw come to his rescue, and then TigerClaw get shot by some Mexicans, and the whole genre will die since Markus is dead, and TC will no longer stream. |
It's things like this that made me miss aplz posts.

| ^ WTF is Holden doing there inside the huge McProg Burger? Don't tell me people actually think that even Holden is cheese... |

| Yes. It just wasnt complete without Holden. I mean, you have Perry as the seeds, TigerClaw the olive, Ozgur/Armin the lettuce, onion, and tomatoe, and Markus the big juicy thick burger. Holden is the salt and pepper. |

"American Progressive" is a better name. Describing something as "American" already has a pejorative connotation of something mass-produced with poor emphasis on quality, appealing to the lowest denominator. American news, American cars, American cheese, etc.
In addition to this negative flavor, "American progressive" is a neutral description of where the subgenre originated and has developed: In the United States. Gabriel & Dresden began the sound from San Francisco, and Markus Schulz brought it to Miami, where it has since become the dominant style.
McProg is okay as a colloquial term, but American Progressive is better as a formal label. |
tell me...why is it that you must use your pathetic rhetoric in your posts |

If that wasn't grossly exaggerated, then it might be true. 50 weeks? No.
The threads bitching about cookie cutter trance and McProg all suck. Why bother? That's time better spent getting a real McD's meal. Not that anyone would want one - but it's still time better spent. |

Thank you for your compelling and thoughtful contribution.
Just as aside, I don't hold any particular antipathy to things American. After all, I live here and have a certain amount of respect for my nation. Nor are American goods substandard by default. It's just a popular generalization that applies well to the subgenre of music we're talking about. |
