LOL!!! That was a frickin hilarious set!!! Exactly what I was thinking after I watched the show...I AM MERV!!!! LOL!!!
Erv was just as funny...I think Johnny Knoxville is hilarious.

And yeah, totally agree with you re: Ferrari but as you can see with Barrichello's problems, there's a lot more tiness in that camp than their tires...

it was an ok race, nothing special.

I honestly loved to see Kimi run away with it. This guy is my bet, for the best of the future gen. I just wish we had Bernie-vision here, i would have it locked to kimi's nose cone camera, i love watching incar of this guy driving.

Unfortunatly right now, Bridgstone is ferrari's problem. Fine they have had other mechanical problems, but the fact is, even when their car is fast, their tires are not. Bridgstone is very scared, and have flown those two puncured tires back to Tokyo for further inspection. My guessing is, they will find some sort of flaw in the tire, but say it was puncures anyways, just to save face.

As for the team of the season so far, Toyota, keep up the good work! As for the drivers complaining about bad set ups, wtf!? They test thousands of miles a year at the track, and they still cant set up the car properly? Fine they resurfaced the track, , you still only have to adjust your settings, not come up with a whole new set. These guys should be able to do better than that.

Renault, it seems have a problem on their hands. Tire wear. Last race, it barely allowed Alanso to keep ahead of Schumi, and this race, it almost cost him second. Maybe that kick ass traction control system they have is set up to be a bit too agressive, and causing more wear than wanted?

Liked your analysis, yeah I admit Toyota has seen the biggest improvement from last year so massive respect but...

I

HONDA

P.S. You would rather see Kimi's driving or Montoya? Montoya is a fricking PSYCHO behind the wheel! Much more exciting than the precision of Kimi (reminds me of Schumy *yawn*)

haha, the exact reason i love watching kimi drive, he does remind me of schumi. I love the 'exactness'. To me, there is nothing better than to watch perfection. I dont mind that its very similar, because i get locked into their styles, and my brain starts to see how they take each turn differently. I start to notice the very small differences in handling around each turn.

Montoya sure can pass, but as a driver, he is over rated for F1. He was great in Kart, because it was very different. It was more balls to the walls kind of driving(litteraly, considering all the road courses). Punch it up the inside, let the cars sort them selves out. F1 is too fragile for that sort of driving, and as a team principle, i would be scared as hell to let him near one of my cars.

F1 has changed over the years, the cars are far more technical now, then even 10 years ago, in handling terms. If any of you watch 'Formula 1 Decade' on Speed, notice how twichy the cars used to be. They are rock solid now(thanks to tires, aero, lower centre of gravity). You now have to be pin point accurate with your breaking and accelerating points. Before there was skill in calming a car down, when you hit the breaks, the weight transfered, and the car became unstable for half a second. Now with these new compounds, they cars are sooo stable under breaking, you can really see it.

so...Montoya 10 years ago in f1 would have been amazing, and i can almost say he would have won a championship, but i dont think he will win one now in f1, Alanso, Kimi are the future.

+ A LOT

Man, I can only imagine (or nightmares?) JPM in a '95 V12 Ferrari...

Totally agree on the precision today which calls for a Kimi-type (and you can see why Schumy is so successful) but the "gun it on the inside and let the rest sort it out" SO MUCH FUN!!!!! LOL!!!

My fave scene in F1 is watching a car vault itself in the air by using the wheels of the car in front as a ramp!!!

EDIT:
Just to make it clear I absolutely get affected to the core when I see someone get injured...that is NOT COOL...but the kid in me that used to bash Hot Wheels into eachother head-to-head gets an adrenaline rush when these multi-million dollar machines get into these high-speed accidents in a closed, safe environment...

...my adrenaline caused me to get into my own car accident so I'd much rather see it on TV to get it out of the system! ;)

Seeing perfection is fun, for about 5 chicanes, but then it gets boring (ADD?) The best precision is when it used to overtake, though...

i used to play a lot of F1 games, with a kick ass steering wheel for computer. So i know how hard it is to get every corner right. Thats why i love to watch them, when they do.

The battle with Alanso vs Schumi = pure bliss!!!! i just dont understand how they can follow eachother within .2s. Its just nuts. The reaction times are insane, anytime i tried that in the game, i just ramed the guy infront cause i braked so much later.

btw - Imola is one of my fav tracks on the calendar to drive.

I love Monte Carlo...GT4 has it and I just love getting it right. Not the same as EA's F1, of course; those F1 games make it so much harder to keep it stable, just like in real life!!!

Monte Carlo aka Coute De Jour, is a great track. But it is just not suited for f1 cars today. Im actually suprised that its still on the calendar, considering so many people think its too dangerous/slow/boring.

But still a fun ass track to drive! btw GT3 also had it.

Yeah, GT3 is where I perfected my moves...didn't really play video games until PS2 came out with that...pity you can't see the hot rich chicks in bikinis on their yachts in the background ;)

Whether it's suited or not, it's a LEGENDARY track and several drivers have expressed how much they like it because of its challenge.

Which track I hate to drive in racing games? The full Nurburgring...the lanes are SOOOOOOOOOo narrow!!!! And 10 min. lap times...OMG!!!! (that was the bronze trophy alotted time for the International A licence in GT4...SOOO LONG!!!!)

Pretty ingenious engineering they had with the "2nd gas tank", it's a good thing they got caught tho.

Apparently they are moving to put V-8's in F1 carts... revving up to 20,000 rpm

*Can't wait for Monaco*

hehe, thats my fav track in the game! i know every turn now!!!

Try Using the BMW V12 LMR, $4.5million. Its worth every penny, the fastest car in the game, besides the f1 cars. I got my time down to 5:45 with that car:D

We need to have a GT4 session sometime...I'm not no "5:45 Nurburgring" timing mofo but I get by...I'll leave the harder challenges for you...

My absolute fave track in the game (non-F1)? TOKYO 246 baby!!! (and the Seattle Circuit is fun, too!--it feels so good to nail that sudden S adjacent to the pit lane entrance at full speed, without touching the wall at the exit!!!)
