Again, Toyota disappoints...I guess we're back to status quo.
And how can you say that Ferrari and Schumy are not Gods?!?!?! The one thing that Ferrari fans (no matter how much on the bandwagon some are) they're not ignorant to the fact that Ferrari is the only team to participate in F1 racing since its inception in 1950, is the most successful F1 racing team in history (most constructor titles - 14, most wdc - 14) and Schumy is the most successful F1 driver in history (most world driver championships - 7). You would be ignorant not to acknowledge their supremacy and the fact that if they continue to spend on their cars and drivers the way they do their success will continue LONG into the future!!
Orko, Ferrari is coming back to hand everyone their asses back to them...but I respect Renault a TON and if anyone should win it other than Ferrari it's Renault IMO because I also LOVE Renault cars...I support teams that have a personal connection with me...and yes I did several research projects on Ferrari in high school and uni so although I don't own one (yet) that's why I'm a HUGE fan!!!
Also, if any Japanese company is going to rise up to the occasion by the end of the season we all know it's HONDA. hehehehe |
Let's be realistic here ... BAR isn't going to get very far this season, no matter how much of a fan you are.
Sure, I am rooting for Toyota, but I am realistic, and things are looking bad for Toyota. Hopefully they will pick up, knowing Toyota.
Yes, Ferrari has a nice history to back them up, but how are they doing NOW? With the new rules and regulations, it was rough for Ferrari this season so far. It appears they are fixing the issues with their cars, but it remains to be seen if they are back on top of their game.
This is exactly what I mean here. Ferrari this season are NOT gods, and they have struggled. The new rules and regulations shook up Ferrari a lot, and was a slap in the face to them. This season has been a perfect example that Ferrari is just as vulnerable as any team.
Toyota has a nice history too ... in ALL kinds of motorsports, as opposed to Ferrari, being confined mostly to F1, and LeMans.
Ferrari themselves are most worried and afraid of Toyota. I mean look at how much Toyota as a whole improved over last season. Toyota has incredible perserverence, and it's amazing that Toyota this season is so competitive while being a full constructor team.
Toyota has patience, and is very committed, and that is what is making Ferrari worried. Toyota has succeeded in practically every motorsport that it has seriously committed itself to. |

You can't measure a "GOD" by a few races in one season...wait till the end of the season and see who ends up on top to make that assessment; very premature to pass that kind of judgement at this point IMO.
Also, I'm tired of hearing you point out how successful Toyota is in rallying. Who gives a when this thread is about F1? Toyota WILL NOT succeed in being the top team in F1 as long as there is Williams, McLaren, Renault and...uh...oh yes FERRARI in the same competition. There is no ing way that will happen (unless Ferrari packs up their bags and gets into fighter-jet racing full time).
It's ridiculous to point out other areas of success because it's TOTALLY irrelevant. Toyota's performance in the last two races shows that their early success was a FLUKE, nothing more, nothing less.
Wait till BAR-Honda (there, I said it ;)) gets back in the stables...let's just say they haven't been sitting on their hands on the sidelines... |

I think you are mistaking Bridgestone's problems for Ferrari's. Obviously the depend on eachother, but its mainly bridgestone's fault. With testing being limited to 30 days per team, Bridgestone only has 3 teams, 30 days each, 90 days of testing, where as Michelline has 7 teams, 30 days each, 210 day of testing. That more than doubled the testing time. And lets face it, the other two B teams arent really providing much usefull test data, they suck. Minardi cant even afford to test engines, or chasis, let alone different tire compounds. So they only have two real teams doing any kind of usefull testing.
If you look at out right speed, Ferrari is still there, just later in the race, and by that point the leader is off in the distance. |
