jaques car is the super slowness.
it was a great race.
nice to see ferrari not dominating. its easier to win when you start in the front all the time :p |

ferrari didnt dominate because they started so far back.
rubino still came in a strong second. good for them.
the new regs didnt work at all, all the speed is back, and all the non-passing is back :D
oh well i still love f1 |

M. Schumaker is the best driver in the rain but a lil overrated...Jacques is just as good but spent too many years with a piece of car.You say that he aint that great?...several years ago, I remember him passing Micheal on the outside when he was with Williams/Renault and that spin of his on the weekend....wow....He was still able to recover & place 4th:eyespop:
Anyway...as for the race itself...It was pretty good...One thing that I will miss are the tire changes as part of the pit stop...The best part of the race is watching the entire pit crew at work but now the tire changers just inspect the tires:(...I was SOO glad to see the Renaults on top and hope to see any other team get to the top BUT Ferrari...
The "one engine" rule for 2 races should be interesting.I think Sato pitted on the last lap in order to get a new engine for the next race.
In any case, it looks like an exciting year:D |

I was just recently reading a short "biography" on Flavio Briatore - more like an article in the British GQ and the guy is incredible. (For those who don't know he's the manager of the Renault team) His beginnings, his rise to where he is...not to mention he's the father of Heidi Klum's daughter   Cool guy i'm quite happy to see his team doing so well especially considering it's his last season as far as I understand. It's just the first race so we shouldn't predict anything here yet but good stuff so far!
I'm still a Ferrari fan at heart though ;) |

i was really hoping for JV to do something magical this year, but it looks like he is washed up. He lost like 5 places on the first lap alone, and has been consistantly getting schooled by Massa, Massa of all people!!!! He finished far behind, even though he started far ahead....once a champ, not always a champ...sorry JV |

Yeah I dunno what happened off the start for his Sauber but it was very disappointing...It was good to see some new guys on the track too & see how they do the rest of the year.
Next stop...MALAYSIA:tongue2 |

Im not sure, if i was the only one who noticed this last year...but it seems that the most exciting races from last year, were on all the newest tracks.
I personally think that the speeds in F1 have gone way beyond normal tracks, and only the new tracks can encourage and handle the speeds that F1 reaches.
The extremely wide lanes on the new tracks, allowed for the cars to get around the turbulence created by the aero on other cars, and line up a pass.
As a fan, i was not in favour of them slowing down the cars. I watch F1 because it is the peak of automotive engineering, its just crazy fast, i dont want to watch cars, which i know can be faster.
Thank god for those engineers, who found all the speed over the winter break, keep up the good job boys! |

look for montoya to slip back(too fat)
kimi, schumi, rubino, button, i think they are all able to challenge for top spot
button is a ?, because BAR is a bit behind.
As for renault: im not sure how they can challenge here, malaysia has two huge straights, and the renault has never had the grunt of ferrari/bmw/honda(rumors of 1000bhp this year!!!!!).
and i am hoping for some kimi excellence, definatly my fav driver on the grid(after schumi) |
